I just wanted to list some quick point before anyone invests 100 bucks on this software as I already have.

1) You get 6000 sounds not 6000 Soundloops. You only get 13 Soundloop packs which are about 1139 individual sounds/beats/loops. You don’t get to choose the 13 Soundloop packs that you get.

2) Soundloop packs that are included DO NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO MAKE MUSIC YOU CAN CALL YOUR OWN OR SELL. You have to spend additional 40 USD to get the license for the included sound loops on top of the 100 USD you are about to spend.

3) In case you like for example oriental or ambient music or instruments then you will have to buy additional Soundloops or sounds on their website and get the license for them to be able to create music that you would want to sell or call your own.

4) If you want to contact the support via phone you have to buy the Premium Support Phone package on their website for approx. 13 USD additionally. They don’t specify if this is for one time use or for a particular duration. I concluded it’s for one time use. This is extremely ridiculous once you spend 100 USD for the product.

5) The product itself has many features and some instrument creation tools are included for you to create your own beats. These can be used commercially if you make the music from scratch. This is reasonable; however it makes making music or creating remix very hard for beginners.

6) There is no way to get the purchases that you buy on their FREE iPad App to your PC to my understanding. So you may have to buy it again to get it to the PC. Also not clear if you have to buy the license for the Soundpacks you buy in your iPad to freely create music that you can call your own or sell etc. (Only the app and 1 Soundloop pack is free, they give you additional 3 Soundloops to pick for free which you can change every 30 days. Again license information is not conclusive so I would say don’t make music with them and try to share it on YouTube etc. which can be perceived as commercializing)

7) I have used the iPad App for many hours nonstop as I love to create music and it has crashed every 30 mins on me. I had to make the loops over and over again as they won’t get saved.

I have asked similar question to their support via steam forums and support and awaiting reply. I may recommend or change my review for this product once I am clear on some of the issues I have raised.

It comes with lots of high quality instruments, its easy to compose and recommended to starters.
You can also import soundpools and make songs with few clicks.

However, if you plan to do something more elaborated, you'll face instability, lots of crashes and lack of functions like midi track split.

I won't recommend this software because it crashes a lot.

Raw deal. Comes with limited music msuic loops. No commerical licensing on included sounds unless you pay an additional $40 on their website. The website is slow so buying additional loops from the website is frustrating difficult. I can't beleive that steam let this program on to its platform. It should idscolse before you buy it that doesn't include commercial use in the price. the license for commerial use and additional sound pools should be DLC built into steam. Buying them from a 3rd party site is really sketch.

Don't Buy It! It has too many bugs. And you can't even pan the audio left or right.

Delaysss, bad sound pools, 0/1000000000000000000000 give me my money back :( better off getting FL Studios...

Oh, it's that time again.
I'll do what I did last time since I still believe that the best review and recommendation is an example.

Made using the 2015 version, in 40 min.
(It's the 1st time I'm doing a track without drums, but my group members liked the effect, so why not)
I'll leave it to you to decide if you should buy or upgrade.

After Using Magix software for the pass 2-3 years, i dont know wy i go back to it. Yeah sure its easy to get along with, easy drop and play soundpools and easy EQ effects, but having it both downloaded of Steam and on CD i found, that the Software crashes alot, and with a 6 core processor and 16gb Ram a 2TB Hard drive i think its the slow and crappy built software that keeps jolting and freezing, and after hours or even days of composing a very well composed piece find that the software doesnt give a ♥♥♥♥ if you saved, the files to big and it cant be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ to open it properly, which the leaves you thinking why did i just spend £90 on this when i could do something better on a MAC.

Great new Harp and Flute instruments! Some fresh new catooh content on Prem' version. Still the most noob friendly DAW. I use Magix MM to sketch music ideas and finish in Sonar X3. My copy of Sonar X3 has to load 100's of plugins so can take some time even on a very fast i7 and SSD to load. I use Magix MM with its built in plugins so it boots in 1 second flat! I can then record midi ideas in seconds.
You can buy extra loops from catooh.com or very professional targeted content from loopmaster.com, bigfishaudio.com or looploft.com and make commercial tracks very fast in MM 2015.
Please note: if use the supplied loops with MM 2015 prem or normal you do have to pay a small fee for 'general' commerical use on youtube etc. If you make you own music with the virtual instruments included (not the supplied midi or loops) no extra fee's apply.

9/10 Still the best DAW to learn the basics of making music still comes with many very good, basic instruments and features many of the other DAWs charge extra for.
