I have zero as my favorite all the time, but that doesnt guarantee i get to play him because more often than not,he is already taken by someone else when i join.
Either way, setting a char to favorite only seems to select him at the start of the match, but it doesnt lock in your choice, you still have to confirm it manually.
So if multiple people have him on favorite, whoever locks him in first, gets to play as him.
If we cant have pre-locked in characters,we should at least get a team mode where multiple people can pick the same character.
If you have someone always locked, then how is anyone else supposed to play them? What happens if the team is only 4 zero players? One of you is only getting it.
This system doesn't work and never has.
If you pick tank, you get matched with a group who still needs a tank.
If you pick healer or damage dealer, same thing.
There are moba,s like heroes of the storm who do this too, youre able to select your character BEFORE you start the matchmaking process.
And im pretty sure there are shooters who do this too.
So no,you will never get put into a group of only zero players because the game would match you with people who picked other characters.
Since the teams on each side are pretty small and there are plenty of characters to choose from,i dont see this being a problem.
That's not possible in this. This isn't a hero shooter or mmo.
Nothing stops the devs from matching people properly, based on their chosen characters.
The game prevents you from having the same character multiple times in a team, just like in a hero shooter or moba, its really not that different.
You would need to wait hours before playing with your favorite characters.
The game has a pretty good playerbase and already makes use of plenty of bots anyway,to fill rooms when needed.
You don't log into League of legends, queue support and instantly get the support you want. Because you cannot queue for a specific support. Same thing in Dota, same thing in HoTS. ect ect.
Also, you play one of the most contested characters, do you not understand, that you would most likely be sitting in a queue for more than 15 minutes for a match? Zero and Emma players would literally NEVER get into a game.
And you know exactly what I'm talking about when it comes to MMOs and DPS players. GLHF getting into a dungeon if you're DPS.
The reason why it takes so long in mmo,s to get matched up for a dungeon,is that there are usually A LOT of dungeons, making the whole playerbase spread out over them.
Then you have solo+open world pve aswell,so not everyone will actually be searching for dungeon groups.
And cant forget the pvp battlegrounds.
Bloodstrike doesnt have this issue.
You have a handful of modes and thats it,also there are plenty of characters, making it less likely for people to select the same character (we can also assume that there will be plenty of new characters too).
And if everything else fails, the game can keep doing what it already does anyway:filling the last few slots with bots.
