Should I play the first games of the series ?
Hai, I just bought the game, and I thought maybe, before jumping into it I should know what happened before the game, in the story. What should I do ?

The platforming and puzzles is the main draw of these games, not the story though it is presented in a very nice facion I think.

You should play the first two mostly because they are good games and well worth the play through :)

yeah the story isnt the fascinating thing in these games, its just the gameplay/puzzles which you can solve in so many different ways, i love trine 2 in mulitplayer, even if i played the whole story several times there is sometimes one who can show you how to solve a puzzle in a different way... okay when you get the anti-gravity arrow most puzzles can be skipped with that, but even with that you can experiment, just fantastic ^^ so if you plan to buy trine 1 and 2 feel free to contact me if you wanna have someone to play, if you dont wanna get "spoiled" with the puzzles you should play alone on the first try ^^

;D Trine and Trine 2 are kinda the same so maybe you can even skip the first one since Trine2 is simply better :P but if you want you can always play both :D

Yes, by all means, please do play the 1st and 2nd game. They're fantastic. If you look at my achievements for them, you'll probably realise how much I enjoyed the experience.

Yes I recommend you play the first 2 simple because they are brilliant in their own right. It's not critical storywise to play in the right order though.
