Suck in a semi rewind/time freeze

i have encountered twice a bug where when you need to rewind like during speaking to mr jefferson in the class room before going tho the bathroom the second time, i got stuck i na kind of slomotion freze where i was unable to select an option or rewind/ skip as when i tryed to rewind Max says do i rewind or stop but was unable to do anything.

I had the same issue twice but at different points - when Max is in the washroom and when she's watching the CCTV at Chloe's house. I was lucky in that pressing escape and reloading from last save let me do the bit again and progress. I assume you have tried that though...?

I am having the same issue. Only when I skip ahead. Not only does it freeze the game in limbo between stopping time and skip, if I leave the game the auto save sometimes does not work and I have to go through a large part of the story line again.
Any solutions yet?

Try this:

1. Select the save slot from where you played
   
2. In the main menu, select "Play episode"
   
3. Select the episode where you last saved
   
4. Select the last available chapter
   
5. Select "Restart game from this chapter using Slot X" (where X is a slot you haven't played on yet)

That's what we've all had to do to get round it. But it's not a "fix", we want a fix for having to restart the sections at all.

Hey - same issue here. R key works, it's only on translation keys (WSAD & arrow keys) even when remapped.

I've fixed this on my machine by temporarily stopping the Synergy service - which I use to share a mouse and keyboard across two or more machines. I can turn it on again when I'm done playing. Notably, this screwed up Portal 2 also. So I'm guessing your problem, if not because of Synergy, is because of another input device, or software that allows remote acces - ie a wacom or Teamviewer.

Nope. Regular old wired USB mouse and keyboard. No other peripherals.

just playing with a plain keyboard and mouse and she also always says something like "should i rewind or stop" or "i definitely cant stop here" but whenever i try to rewind it doesn't work. I think the game treat's it like I rewound halfway into a conversation.
oh and P.S. Enix please get your ♥♥♥♥ together and fix these bugs these little ones ruin the game.

Have you already tried to verify the game cache?

My reply to this was in page 2. I told that I got forward when I ran the game in safe mode. I don't remember exactly how but I guess there was an icon for that in start menu > > > game folder etc.
Could be possible that I was just lucky.

If anyone else is having this problem, it generally occurs to me when i rewind to many times. I just restart from the previous checkpoint and it will fix itself.

Although going back a checkpoint does fix it since it happens every time it ultimately doesent help.
And yes i did verify steam didnt find any missing files.

hello, I am playing Episode 1, Life is Strange, and am having the same issue, and in the same areas as mentioned before, once is the photography classroom at the beginning of the game (when speaking with the teacher). I was able to get through, but now Max is at Chloe's house and keeps getting frozen when I'm trying to get the tools from the top of the washing machine. Is there a fix for this issue?
