Episode 3 - Principal Well's Office

Hello fellow player of Life is Strange,
I have a rather large concern, and was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same thing. I'm now in the school, where Chloe and Max are trying to get into the Principal's office. I made the pipe bomb and used it on the door, then moved inside the office and used Max's power to place myself inside the office without the bomb ever going off. This is the approach you are suppose to use for that part of the game.

However, once I am inside the office and I get near the door, there is no option to unlock it from the inside. I have watched a few videos just to ensure that this is what is suppose, and indeed it is. I was wondering if anyone else had encountered the same issue, since I could find no other report of it, and if anyone knows a fix? My first reaction was to contact Dontnod but they have no easily accessible contact solution except social media, which makes sense for a smaller studio.

On a side note, if I was to uninstall and try to reinstall the game, how should I handle saves? Will steam cloud prompt me to redownload my saves when i reinstall it (assuming it makes use of steam cloud for sure?) or is there a local file that I can reliably move around with no issue, like there is for most other games.

I'm not sure if the files would stay intact, but someone else suggested changing the screen size, which worked for episode 2. That didn't work this time for me. I'm in the same boat as you, though, just so you know it's not your computer.

I'm having the exact same issue. Several of the interactions have been flickering too fast for me to use them or not appearing at all in my game. I also tried changing the screen size and that didn't work for me either.

OKAY I JUST TURNED THE RESOLUTION DOWN ONE AND IT STAYED UP LONG ENOUGH TO JUST BARELY UNLOCK THE DOOR EVEN THO IT STILL FLICKERED

im having the exact problem, you are not alone. I know for a fact that if you uninstall it when re redownload all your saves will be there. i usually uninstall story basiced games after i finish the episode to make room for other games while i watch for the next to come out. I havent tried to change the screen size but if i find any fixes out ill comment again

oh my gosh i am having this exact problem!!!!!! its happened with doors a LOT to me, i actually tried re-playing episode 3 to see if thatd fix it and now im stuck because now im having this problem with picking up the tape. i tried for 2 hours last night to open that door and i couldnt do it, its frustrating me to no end. i really hope someone finds a way to fix this soon, good luck. :(

Same issue. Would love to somehow see this fixed. Cant interact with the office door. Has only happened in this episode for me, happening with Kate's room as well. Commenting in hopes of hearing about a fix

There are two rolls of tape. I'm not sure if you can choose either one, but there should be one on either side of the room!

I fixed this! Okay, so you need to close your game and reload in Steam's SAFE MODE. It'll hopefully work perfectly, it did for me :) Do everything the same way!

As far as I know, the issue has not been fixed, had this same issue and had to change the resolution. Had to lower the quality when it came to getting the sugar and the soda can as well. The game is great but these issues are real buzz kills

Weird thing is, I decided to replay the game and the second playthrough, I had no issues with the resolution I had it set up to for the overwhelming majority of the first playthrough.
