Game won't start

I click on the game to launch it, it comes up with the screen saying "Launching Life is Strange", and then nothing happens. I uninstalled the game and then re-installed it onto my SSD, and that didn't change anything. Is this happening to anyone else?

Same here. There's nothing related to this issue in the FAQ post.

Do you get the pre-requisites installing? does the game appear in task manager? what pc specs? what country you based on?

No idea about these pre-requisites. It doesn't appear in task manager.
Specs:
GeForce GTX 650 2GB(dedicated RAM)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3330 CPU @ 3.00GHz
8GB RAM
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Enough Free disk.

And I'm writing from Spain.

When you first launch the game it will try and install VCredist, DirectX, and Physx.. do you not see any of these come up?

No, but I was able to get the game to launch after going in and manually running the installers for those. Then I encountered the Freezing after Unreal logo, and had to set my unicode to UK english (and I'm in America), after switching it to the other options failed to work.

Great game, but man, it's a technical mess

Are you pressing escape etc to skip the logos?
You definitely shouldnt need to set the unicode if you are american :(

I saw it the first time I ran the game, but It stopped at 3/5 or something like that.

I have a similar problem - every time I try to play the game, it goes through these installations and once it's done, nothing will happen. I also have an Nvidia card, although I'm on Windows 8.

If you go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Life Is Strange\_CommonRedist and run the individual pre-requisites this may help..

I have the same problem.
When I run the .exe manually I get a 0xc000007b Error
DirectX and vcredist are installed... :-(

As told, I ran all the installers and then tried to run the game. It worked! Thx for the help.
