It's at the front door in the groceries bag.

That's exactly what I said when I found it. I keep my eggs in the fridge and was baffled for 10 minutes.

Hah, I had the same problem. No idea why they left it there, lol.

It's probably from the store and she must have forgot to bring it to the kitchen.

And max didn't make any attempt to bring the whole thing into the kitchen either.

I guess Joyce went grocery shopping and left the bag over there. I was pretty confused too.

I thought I was going out of mind. I searched the whole damn inside and outside twice and didn't notice that bag. Thank you!

What I don't understand about the whole egg thing is let us accept for a moment that Joyce (or someone) did go shopping and forgot to take care of the eggs. But we know that the reason Joyce calls home to get a ride is that she went shopping and has bags of things she wants help bringing home.

I mean it's not a huge issue or anything as it can be explained away that the Dad noticed there wasn't anything much for breakfast so went to go get some essentials knowing that his wife was going to get the full shabang later. But still such an odd place to find the eggs.

This was so annoying, idk why the developers did this; so annoying.

It proves that Joyce is not as wholesome and lovable as many seem to think. She could have just told Max where they were, but noooooooo, let's stand here and watch the poor girl scratch about the house aimlessly. :P

Seems to depend on your choice of what you want for breakfast. I remember the bag in the kitchen on the floor, too. But I was going for milk and eggs, not bacon and eggs. I saw the bag at the entrance in a Let's Play and I wouldn't have found it, too, I guess.

This thread was started in May 2015. Since then a patch moved the eggs from beside the front door to within the kitchen area because people found it too hard to spot them. The idea of fetching them is to give you a little moment of interaction, not drive you to frustration.

As to why they aren't in the fridge, this as a cultural thing to do with the developers being french rather than american. In europe chickens are required to be vaccinated against salmonella and as such there is no need to refrigerate eggs unless you plan to store them for over a week. It's actually advised that shops don't refrigerate them prior to sale as it could cause condensation to form on the shell which could encourage bacterial growth. In USA vaccination is not required and only about a third of flocks are vaccinated so all eggs are refrigerated to prevent growth of salmonella.
