Let him gets his keys and let him walk out after that total rewind you may now search the cap.

Yeah I had the same thing happen, merely watching him pick them up for the first time and rewinding apparently isn't enough. You have to watch the entire scene play out with him walking out completely before they became intractable and able to be picked up.

Slight complaint that I had.
Oh well.

rewind to the very beginning, go get the keys from under the cap and throw them in the sink

Did that. He lifts his cap up and I see the keys lying there, then rewind, but I can't interact with them as soon as I try.
Tried rewinding about 4 times, rebooted the game, nothing works. I'll try tomorrow.

play to the part where he get his keys and leave... then rewind all the way back "where u spawn in the past" then straight go for the key and throw it in the sink....
