Nathan talking about him in the files on the principal's computer reads less to me like David and Nathan are bros and more like Nathan is delusion, reading into things, and stalking David himself. The guy, in that timeline, has serious fricking mental issues and we can see that as clear as day from the files. The connection of them being "bros" as Chloe put it, is most likely a product of Nathan's own fragile psyche than anything with real merit to it.
I sided with David to cool things down, because Chloe frankly needs to too, and because David doesn't seem as bad as his exterior lets on if you take the time to learn more about him and think about why he does what he does. Again, I may not always agree with how he goes about things, and I certainly haven't sided with him on a lot prior, but he's not as bad as all that.
Honestly the most likely people to be suspicious of are either A) Nobody, B) maybe Jefferson. or C) Nathan (or his family)
However, Nathan himself seems to be a huge red herring too and my suspicions are that he is the way he is because of his upbringing more than anything else. As much as he's a psychotic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (as the files in the principal's office prove) , he's a victim too. I don't see him being behind Rachael's disappearance or the red files we saw in the endings of the previous two episodes. Jefferson on the other hand has been in the background a lot this whole time. He has photos of young women all over his classroom. He has connections to at least Kate and Rachael (dubious ones in the laters case) . He at the very least turned down Victoria's advances in this episode, so points to him for that. But he's so far the one sorta-major cast member with some of the least amount of screen-time. As for Frank, he's had little screen-time as well since he was only introduced last episode and so far I'm not all too suspicious of him. He's not trustworthy but I'm certainly not suspicious of him for some of the game's more major mysteries. He even has some hints of complexity beneath.
The reason I say Nobody (or maybe not necessarily nobody but rather someone who we may not even know yet-or it could be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ anybody for all we know) is because something I've noticed with this game is that many of the characters are subtly flawed. No one is really pure evil or pure good. Though some certainly do show sides of themselves that are very confrontational and frankly evil as ♥♥♥♥ more than they do their other sides. So, I don't know if it's fair to say that this game has any true villain. At least not yet. The more obvious go to answers are Nathan, Victoria or David. But for various reasons I can't buy any of them. That leaves people like Warren (who does have some suspicion going for him but not enough for me), the principal (nothing TOO suspicious with him yet tho he could certainly be involved), or Jefferson who I have already briefly touched on.
Hes actually to my knowledge the only other character that's actively trying to figure out what happened to Kate and Rachael besides Max and Chloe so his help may come in handy later which is why I try to be friendly as much as possible to him.
