[Episode 2 Glitch] "So what are we waiting for?"

*This issue was resolved in 2015, when this topic was first posted. I'm not sure why people keep posting and bumping it up, but y'all gotta stop.*

I'm at the Two Whales diner. Everytime I finish telling Chloe what will happen and wait, Chloe ends with "So what are we waiting for?" Then my character says "Now I should rewind time and tell Chloe what happened."

It's an endless loop. I tried restarting the game (quitting out and coming back) and restarting my computer. Did anyone else have this problem?

EDIT: I should elaborate that I'm at the part where I have to prove to Chloe that I have powers. Specifically where I'm telling her what will happen in the next 30 seconds or so.

EDIT 2: I chose the correct answers, so I know that's not it.

You mean, when you have to tell her what will happen in the coffee shop? (The cop recceving a call on his radio and stuff?) You have to coose the exact things and you will have a little cinematic - and not just watching things happens from Max point of view, if I'm clear). Then you should be happen to move on.

After the first time, when your screen focus on Chloe you have an option to talk with her, then it starts to let you to choose four events that you have just seen.

Yeah after I choose the 4 things (trucker drops mug, police partner leaves, guys fight and the Chloe's mom gets mad at them, and a cockroach crawls into the jukebox), the scene goes black and white and Max says to rewind time to tell Chloe what happened.

If I do rewind time, it's the same thing over and over: after I once again tell her what will happen, the scene goes black and white and Max says to rewind time.

Yep. This happened to me as well. Kind of frustrating.

IIRC these are the answers:
Trucker drops his mug
The two dorks start a fight and Joyce stops them
The police officer gets a call and his partner leaves
A cockroach crawls on the jukebox and a new song plays

Those are the answers I put, and it didn't work.

So after a couple months of avoiding this game, I decided to check again, and it still doesn't work. I can't get past the diner, and YES I AM CHOOSING THE RIGHT ANSWERS. I even had the walkthrough up to make sure. And Chloe at the end is like "They were all right!" Yet after she says that, Max says, "Now I should rewind time and tell Chloe what happened."

I had the same problem, but in episode 4. I had to rewind after I did something and after i was done I couldn't move. Max kept telling me I had to rewind, but it was impossible. I had to restart the game to make it work again.
I'm not sure if you can load the game from another checkpoint, if not you will probably have to do episode 2 again.

Yeah that's what I'm doing right now. :/ Just hoping it works after I redo ep 2.

I'm having the exact same problem. Yes, I have given the correct answers. Yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice....the second even after a month, yes, I have restarted the entire episode. I have contacted Square Enix support multiple times and they read nothing I wrote(but sent me a customer service survey....lol) because their solution was to uninstall, etc. I'm pretty mad about the whole thing, actually. Tonight I decided to just start Episode three and apparently I've missed some pretty important things. Pretty much left with no other options since I payed for the bundle. Boo. I also went into this thinking it was Telltale...guess I learned. Either way I will never purchase one of these things(episodic games)again until the whole thing is done. But, thats another subject altogether.

Just did a replay of that episode tonight and I had no problems at all with it. If you are having problems reload the last check point and try again, if you have done that then go back one more check point and play it until you get to the diner again. I have seen this in the game before at various points and if that happens the only way to fix it is to do what I said and replay it from a previous check point save during that episode.

I replayed ep 2 and it worked. D: I just didn't want to have to replay it, but I guess that was the only way.

Got mine working.....after I already went to the next episode and apparently missed quite a bit. In the Xbox One version, you never see a cockroach. The truckers are messing with the jukebox and it crashes. You essentially have to pick the wrong answer to proceed. After picking the cockroach answer, a cockroach then crawls up the jukebox. Square Enix ended up being quite supportive. I'm just mad at myself for not thinking to just try a different answer. I had seen mention of the cockroach answer before...but, I just assumed the person was referring to the fourth set of answers....as you never pick the top one for any of the others (Y button) and those are usually what initially transpires and then you pick the response to it. For instance: The cop gets a call and....The skaters get in a fight and....you pick the response from the bottom of the three buttons every time except for the last time where on mine if I recall it was A that was actually the correct answer and instead this whole time it just came down to me having to pick a cockroach I had never seen. I drove myself crazy over this and it was something so incredibly arbitrary. As soon as I picked the roach answer the conversation proceeded and no more black and white loop. Unreal.

Trucker drops his mug and Joyce rips him a new one

Justin and Trevor start a fight and Joyce breaks it up

Police officer gets an emergency call on his radio and his partner leaves without him

A cockroach crawls on the jukebox and it goes crazy

I had the same problem but it turns out I was choosing Trevor drops the mug, when it is meant to be Trucker drops the mug.
Listen to Chloe's responses after every answer. If she says something along the lines of "that is so wrong" or "sad day in max town" you should double check that answer.
