frame rate in life is strange : does really matter ?

i just started my 3rd playing of the game :) ,this time i decided to register on you tube

i'm playing with an HD intel graphic card and put : no antialiasing at all , 1600x900 screen resolution ,all effects on high
it's running at about 5-9 fps ,in theory this sholud be pretty bad ,but take a look and tell me what you think ,for me it's perfectly fine ,sure better than play with a low screen resolution and higher fps
to watch at the best quality put 1080hd on the options (

As long as it works for you then that's all that matters, right? :D

Personally I'm more "performance over pretty" with video games because I lose my temper if it gets too slow, so I couldn't handle playing with these settings. I still want the game to look good, of course, but I'm willing to give up some of that to make sure the game runs smoothly.

I can understand that... nowadays they can create truly amazing visuals in video games. I'm glad there are gamers who have the patience to fully appreciate them! :)

I used to play it with integrated Intel graphics and mine looked way worse than this. It even made the dialogues echo at some point. It was pretty untolerable, but playable. This looks a lot better than mine did. It does look a litte "slow-mo", though.
I ended up getting a graphics card. I'm a graphic designer so I needed it anyway since working with animations was getting pretty difficult, but I have to admit LiS factored in heavily in my decision of buying a external card :D

sooner or later i will get also an external good card ,but right now i'm just as rich as Chloe :(

But it looks very very good anyway! :) Mine looked bad, really dark and sort of blurry. I had to put the quality at lowest because of the echoey dialogues thing and they would still echo... So the fact that I couldn't see the beauty of the graphics AND game running badly bugged me a lot. Yours is not the case so don't worry!

until now when the minimum graphic requirements are 512mb i can run smoothly until 1280 screen resolution ,but if are 1024mb i can only run at minimum settings and the game still slow down a little ,and as you say poor graphic+slow game = oh ,nooooo !!

If you can play it like this it's fine, but I watched 15 seconds of your video and already got frustrated.

if you are getting under 25 fps you are going to have some serious FPS lags. but its up to you. 25 fps is like the lowest meta you can have to actually enjoy the game in a decent gameplay.

This game is not about graphics, you can lower your settings for decent frame rate.
