Cons of campus cameras:
-Cameras everywhere - harder to snoop around undetected.
-Ms. Grant might not approve of you not signing the petition?
Max can work her way around cameras with the rewind so that's not a real problem so long as her power keeps working.
Pros of campus cameras:
+ Cameras would capture anyone messing with other students, like Nathan, David and Victoria. And Max in ep1, with the paint trap, now that I think about it.
+David might approve (maybe this is good??)
+Bad ♥♥♥♥ happens on campus, there's evidence. Like the Kate-situation. If memory serves, she said she just woke up in front of the dorms after the party? Might be nice to know HOW she ended up there, who brought her back etc... Unless she stumbled back on her own.
It would give me a sense of security since Max has little to hide and if someone decided to ransack her room again , there would be crystal clear evidence.
Also, how do we know someone hasn't already been snooping around Max's room? I can think of a few people who might have a reason to do that: Nathan, possibly Victoria, and Warren. I mean, he seems harmless to me but I don't know. He also seems pretty Max-crazy.
At this exact moment I can't think of any more cons or pros. I'm sure someone else will.
They already happened and cannot be undone by anyone (maybe by Max, if she is in the mood and decides to do so), so what's the point of surveillance?
If you are going to do such stuff, cameras won't prevent them, it just makes fingerpointing easier.
True enough. Obviously putting up camera surveillance now won't do anything to prevent what's already happened.
But at the very least if (or "when") crime/misbehavior does occur later on in the game - and I have a feeling we haven't seen the end of all the drama at Blackwell - the "culprit" is more likely to be made responsible. There IS always the chance of misunderstanding, though... even with video footage.
So like you said: It just makes fingerpointing easier. Not sure if this was what you meant exactly, but in my opinion it would be good for people to at least know who's responsible for some of the messed up ♥♥♥♥ happening at Blackwell.
