It's a common american expression for "a hell of" and this game is based in said place. Another one is "Y'all" meaning "you all" but not seen that one used a lot.

I live in America and I hear people say 'hella' all the time. Then again, I also hear people say 'y'all' all the time. It probably depends on your area.
