Can't access episode 2 even with season pass ? possible solution

I bought Life is strange episode 1 and I liked it so much that i decided to buy episodes 2-5. So I come home and launch the game thinking episode 2 would be ready to play but it wasn't. I couldn't access ep2 so i tried clicking on purchase episode 2 and it told me I already had it. In order to play episode 2 I had to delete the whole game and re download it and then episode 2 was playable. Hope this helps anybody with the same issue

Had the same issue early this morning. Go to your game's proprieties and DLC tab. Then uncheck and re-check the DLC which should be ep 2 smth smth. After that verify the game cache files and it should work. It did for me, in this order. :)

did you restart the steam client? meanng , go to Steam> exit and then re-launch the client again?

I did, event the PC but the game didn't start the download until I did what I mentioned on my above post.

Technically, each episode is a DLC for Episode 1. Which means that you have to have Episode 1. All the others can be purchased separately, though (once they are available).
Edit: duh, the option to buy only Episode 2 seems unavailable, I’ll ask around whether this is normal.
Edit 2: OK, I’m afraid I’ve been told this was intentional. I hope there’ll be updates.

Had the same issue but i solved it. On your library, right click on Life Is Strange then click on the View Donwloadable Content. If you bought all the seasons, there you must see the Episode 2, tick the Install button, then restart steam.

It said I had the dlc and the box was ticked so I'm not sure why it wouldn't work until I re installed the game

Please verify integrity of the game cache files. It worked for me. If you don't know how just click on the game -> proprieties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity. The game will check for missing files, it will say all files are ok but after that it will start downloading the 1.3 GB of data that ep 2 has.

Thank You for answering, it's nice to see a developer taking care of their product, makes me happy :). I had the same problem and the solution didn't work sadly. So it's all good :). Amazing job with this game, the story is simply mindblowing and the graphics are also nice :D :D :D. I am wondering if it will be a season 2 :P :D :) . P.S. I didn't experienced any glitches except for the lip sync thing but it's not really an issue for me :)

I had the same problem. I recently bought episodes 2-5 and none would install. I tried all of the above and it didn't work. It turned out that my drive was full and steam wasn't notifying me that it was so. After freeing up some space it was good to go. I tried the method above and it worked.

This is probably irrelevant to anyone currently in this thread. But I thought someone might find this thread on google like I did. Happy gaming!
