Episode 2 is a Buggy Mess

I've been playing for about 2 hours and have run into various bugs.

At the very start of episode 2 there was a black screen that seemed to just go on forever. Finally pressed ESC and got the game disclaimer to come up and things started.

Various times the game has gone to the pause menu in the middle of cutscenes for no apparent reason. I have to keep clicking Resume Game to get things going again.

Dialogue is glitched in several scenes with audio dropping out, and then cutting back in with two characters speaking lines over each other. Sometimes it skips whole lines entirely. This happened several times in different scenes, but I remember at least once it was with Max and Joyce talking in the diner.

Finally, I'm stuck on a part where Max is collecting bottles in the junkyard with Chloe. I went to reach for one, it fell and broke...so I rewound time. Now the bottle is stuck in the ground, and rewinding won't reset it to its starting place. Nor will moving the crate you need to reach it.

So I quit the game there...and I get a screen that says Checking Downloadable Content...and after waiting for that to do something for 3 minutes, I terminated the program in task manager.

This is a mess. I hope it gets patched soon.

The only ones I saw was a missing audio in once sentence. Guess, you're down on your luck :S

That's strange. I wonder if maybe I didn't get the full download somehow...or if having the settings on high, or anti-aliasing are somehow effecting it. I'll try to troubleshoot on my end.

I also had a glitch occur in the first episode when Max is in Chloe's room. Somehow through rewinding, my journal shows the writing of the two outcomes simultaneously. So I literally have a journal page that has writing overlapped with other writing of the other outcome. Maybe this has somehow carried over and is messing with things, I'm not sure.

Make sure to verify file integrity if you somehow failed to download a previous patch or something

Loaded into the game, and it set me back at the start at the junkyard scene so it looks like that bottle thing wasn't gamebreaking. Will keep playing through and see if I have any more issues.

I just played all in one shot with no bugs.

Like others I'm aswsuming your download had issues as I'm guessing me like the majority it works fine or close to fine. As to the first problem I know the black screen comes up, but if you didn't get an option to hit the snooze button then idk what has occured.

i got a rewind bug too, in the junkyard i rewind the gun dialogue and well the cutscene started to play and when you choose to shot the gun stood there in the air and the game got stuck at that point, i could walk but the dialogue and the scene din't continue to play, and when you got to save chloe on the train track after picking up the crowbar and axe the game started to bug spawming axes on the air but they're actually very funny to see

didn't encounter any bugs either. I don't know how to help you out...maybe if this thread has a lot of actvity the developers might answer you. so... * bump * good luck buddy.

I played through the entire game so far without any bugs, on day one for both episodes. Maybe it's a regional thing. I heard a lot of people in Russia were having problems with the game.

I didn't notice any bugs. If there were any they didn't affect the gameplay.

Had no troubles in this episode. It was fantastic.

Hey guys. Just finished the rest of the game. After I restarted after the bottle issue, it was smooth sailing for the rest of the game. None of the bugs I was experiencing reappeared.

I'm guessing when I closed the game the download finished or something. No idea. Anyway, that was really weird.

Also, I love this game (when it works).
