The town Arcadia Bay does not exist but Oregon does have a beach called Arcadia. It's really beautiful. And some cities in Oregon look very much like Arcadia Bay in LiS. :) The devs did a great job in capturing the Oregon atmosphere.

As someone who has lived in Wales, the way the town is set up strangely reminded me of Aberystwyth.

I'm pretty sure the lighthouse area/lookout was mapped off of Cape Meares lighthouse and scenic viewpoint in Oregon. I took a trip there recently with my fiance, and as soon as I saw Arcadia Bay in Life is Strange is struck me how similar the views are.

If you actually look at the GPS coordinates from Life is Strange, they're all in Tillamook Bay.
By which I mean they're in the middle of the frigging bay! Like, they map out to underwater!

Woah, the world is so small. I live in Wales, just near Newport, and I have noticed it does look quite a lot like Arcadia Bay, particularly in beachy areas.

Arcadia Bay seems to be inspired by several real places. Parts of those places where then "fused" to create Acradia Bay. Some towns who bear some resemblence to Aracdia Bay seem to be "Newport" and "Port Orford" in Oregon.
