Photo Focus Problem

Im currently at the photo focusing thing in episode 3 and it's starting out fully focused and isn't doing anything. What do I do?

UPDATE: Okay so I ended up figuring it out and it worked after a long time. I basically held down all four buttons for around 5 minutes and it was a ♥♥♥♥♥ to take care of. Just try to roll with it for awhile. It took me about an hour to get. Its not a bug I dont think but I dont know

When it's mostly focused you have to use the LMB and RMB to finish it.

I had great trouble with it too. What you have to do is tap either A or D (don't hold them down cause then you lose the focus or won't be able to steady it long enough).

Tap either of those two keys till you can hear sound and the picture is as ProfForp says focused. Then you tap either LMB or RMB (don't use the keyboard keys anymore that part is done) till you start to see those redish flashes or whatever you might call it.
Then you stop and the game should progress from there.

holding it works better but it still dosent fully work both ways :( (btw by holding i at least got the voiceses for about 1 second

I like how three people didn't even read the OP. Our problem isn't figuring it out, its the fact that the picture starts blurry for half a second, then becomes unblurred. Button presses do literally nothing. It is already focused, we can see the picture right away without touching anything and it causes us to be stuck at this part.

I had the same problem. Nothing I did would change the photo. But I could still change the sound slightly when I held down the keys or mouse. So I just used A and D until it was loudest, and then the mouse buttons to make the voices come into focus.

I posted a different thing about this same issue and all I got told was how to do it... And listen to the noises. Didn't help. Anyone else find a solution?

i just used my x-box controller ^^ left and right stick for focus and 10 secs later we could enjoy the way into the bizarro universe -.-

Havalynd is right; you use the A and D keys first, then you stop using them (as he/she said remove your hand from them) and then use the mouse buttons. And when you are done using them (usually when the sound seems constant) you remove your hand from the mouse too). It's so easy to make the picture unfocused by keep using the keys and mousebuttons.

However not sure what you mean with the picture starts out fully focused. Did it start out fully focused and with sound playing constantly?? Cause if so; then you might have encountered a bug (I had one in the beginning with not being able to take a picture of the action figurine in Victoria's room).
If so; then maybe try reloading the checkpoint till it doesn't??

But yes; Havalynd has the best explanation for how you do it from what I've seen so far. It's what I did to finally manage to do it.
But I won't lie; that part was annoying as ♥♥♥♥. And I can see many, besides myself had problems with that part. Does make me wonder if the devs made that part a tad too difficult for people to figure out. The small tutorial definitely seems to suggest you should hold down the keys till you warp or whatever you might call it.

Yeah, definitely sounds like a bug. Cause that's not what the picture did in my playthrough.

Again; not sure how to fix it, besides reloading checkpoints or maybe start over (yes, that's very annoying, but if it's the only way..) from an earlier chapter. That's usually how I have fixed the bugs and glitches in this game.

I'm having the same problem. When I start out, the photo is completely in focus, and pressing the buttons don't do anything...

I had that problem. What I did to fix it was rotate the left + right thumbsticks in a 360 a few times, then find the worst possible combination, then slowly go to the best possible. On my end I had to hold both left and right thumbsticks to the left for a few seconds and it'll work. You can feel the rumble in the pad when you're doing it right

I'm stuck with this bug too (pic is focused right from the start)! Plus I use a mouse, tried all the fiddling you guys described here and started from various checkpoints.. waah I'M FRUSTRATED =_=" would be cool if a developer could make a guiding-through-bugs! Some more ideas anybody??

Yeah, that part is very bizarre but I got it through randomly typing the keys and buttons... :P

Oh wait, ok, is it a bug?
