Bought this through Newegg deal but not showing in my library

It said it was activated just fine but it doesn't show in my library. Before I go through the pain of a support ticket anyone else have issues with newegg keys?

Also if I go to the store page and hit play steam just freezes for a bit and does nothing.

Yesterday a ton of people were giving me crap. I cautioned against buying things outside of Steam and Orgin. I was mocked for even suggesting that the keys might not work and called a fan boi steam.

I'm not saying this is always the case. My mind goes to worst case situation. In the worst cause situation this is what could happen. While normally its perfectly legit to buy steam keys and redeem it. In the rare cases things do go wrong.

Well if it wasn't coming from a legit retailer like Newegg I would understand. Also it activated just fine and didn't show up in my library so I am leaning to it being a bug or something. If it was a bad key then it just wouldn't work I would think.

For me personally. I'd rather take no risks. Sometimes pay a little more to know for certain nothing goes wrong. Then to buy keys from someone else and hope it works. Again I'm not saying the keys never work, or you should only buy it from steam like other people suggested I said.

I'm just saying use caution. I hate to be stuck in the same boat you are in right now. I don't know how long steam support takes to respond. I'm going guess 3-5 business days. Let me know if you ever get it.

Have you tried restarting steam? This happened to me too, so I restarted it and it showed up in my library afterwards.

Maybe you just throw out fan boi and you don't actually know the meaning behind the word. He already said he's having problems with it. Insulting me is not going to help him get his game and also reported.

did you buy STEAM cd key? or some other digital download? i have seen people in the past buying origin or Uplay keys and think that it is for using it with steam

I don live in the US and i have nothing to do with NewEgg but i dont think they did something wrong there is a possibility you missed something in the description.

Do you mid posting the Newegg link with the game description please?
