The reason behind the weird formatting of the wav file reside probably on how the game read the data,
Yet if you can extract the wav file you can techincally import it for example in logic pro and export it as an mp3 for example,
When you import it on any sound suit do you see the soundtrack on the timelapse?
If i import a 3mb file for example into audacity, and use the settings it gives me at the start, the timelapse of the file is just static to the end.
Added a picture for better understanding. (Sorry for the german version.)

In case someone else wants to try it, here is how i have done it:
You will need 2 things. A unpacker for the .pck files, and a little program that turns the extracted wav files into playable ogg files.
The extractor i used is named "Dragon UnPACKer" and is easily findable with google.
The converter is from another wiki, and is normally used for borderland pck files, but it just worked perfectly with life is strange files as well.
The Link is here: http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Extracting_PC_resources
The files for Life is strange are in "...\Life Is Strange\LifeIsStrangeGame\WwiseAudio\PC"
E1_Music.STM.pck is what you are looking for.
1. Copy the music.pck file somewhere and open it with the dragon unPACKer.
2. A windows will appear. Go to the "Format" Tab and click "Audio".
3. Go to the "Search" tab, check the box that you want to create a Hyper RIpper file and hit search.
4. Click ok, and you have a list of Audio files. You can drag them from the program wherever you want them to.
5. Now we need the converter mentioned above from the other thread.
6. Extract it and place the 4 extracted files into your extracted .waf files. (You need to do this)
7. Run the BL2Soundrenamer.exe file.
8. Use the little "D" button by the boxline to tell it where the files are located, then hit 'Convert Wav 2 Ogg & revorb.' A little popup box will tell you it might be faster to do this manually...ignore it and let the program do it's thing. When it's done, your folder should now contain a new .ogg file for every .wav file. These will play in your media player.
Have fun.
EDIT: Updadet dead links. Now link towards the BL Wiki instead of the dead forum.
Also, there is another method discovered in this post (Nr.15 in this thread): http://steamcommunity.com/app/319630/discussions/0/617328415056491865/#c523897023723383762

edit1: I found it, is on the E2_S03_Sfx_RailRoad.bnk the 2th track. That mean some tracks is not only in one file. -_-
edit2: The song on the Victoria Room is in the E2_S01_Sfx.bnk the 38th track, the last one. Still I can't understud the word in the end of "follow me follow me if you want". -_- XD :P
I love it. Finally I can extract tracks from games with way. Eureka Unpacker. XD
