Theory concerning Kate (spoilers)

At the beginning of the game a piece of paper is thrown at Kate saying something along the lines of we loved your porn video. But if you read her diary she's part of the abstinence groups and this theme is then backed up when you go into the girl's bathroom.
At the end of the game Chloe tells you about how Nathan drugged her and was then taking pictures of her once she had passed out... What if Nathan did this to Kate but had gone a step further and actually raped her and filmed some of it.
This to me seemed plausible as she doesn't seem to be the porno kind of girl.... what's your opinions/theories?

I'm surprised no one answered you, anyways, that could actually be a valid theory. It would make sense why she's acting like she is. The bigger question is: WTF does david want with her? what does Kate know? Is he investigating the disappearance of Racheal? (I think that's her name.) David doesn't seem like a bad guy to me, he just seems like an angry ex-army who is trying to find out what happened to Rachel.

I have to agree about David. He looks like a bad guy in this first chapter as he was really harrasing Kate. But, I think he is just really protective of Chloe and don't want anything bad to happen to her since he have seen a lot I guess being a guard in Blackwell. At least that's what I think base on the message he left on the phone.

Also, maybe Kate knows something about Kate's disappearance and she's just scared of letting anyone know because maybe Nathan threatend to kill her if she does and showing the video of them was a warning ( base on the topic).

I completely agree with you lot, I don't think David is a bad guy. I think he's trying to protect Chloe, he knows the sort of people she was involved with and Racheal was her best friend so perhaps he's scared that the two girls messed with the wrong person and they made Racheal disappear and next they'll be coming for Chloe.

In my game he hits Chloe in the face. So for me, David is just a pananoic army douchebag. He even puts cameras in his own house.

The porn-theory also seems to be backed up by some graffiti on an abstinence poster mentioning a video of hers...

At the end of the end Chloe take about Nathen. He do somethink in her drink. She kickt him in his balls and run away.
I think kate have the same problem with Nathen but she could not escape him. I think Nathen raped her and make a video of that. But it's only a theory.
