Uhh... what? That's what flu shots do... give you the flu. Usually it's a more mild version of it though... sometimes it's not. I haven't gotten a flu shot in over 20 years. And I haven't gotten the flu in over 15 years. ♥♥♥♥ flu shots. It's not a jab at antivaccinations... it's just another view point on flu shots. ♥♥♥♥ flu shots. And I agree 100%, and I laughed when she said that and added "damn straight."

Edit: Also... I'm about as anti-hippie as you can get. I drive a truck that gets 8 miles per gallon, and throw cans in the garbage. I'm all for vaccinations that matter, which flu shots do not.

A flu vaccine cannot cause flu illness. Flu vaccines that are administered with a needle are currently made in two ways: the vaccine is made either with a) flu vaccine viruses that have been ‘inactivated’ and are therefore not infectious, or b) with no flu vaccine viruses at all (which is the case for recombinant influenza vaccine). The nasal spray flu vaccine does contain live viruses. However, the viruses are attenuated (weakened), and therefore cannot cause flu illness. The weakened viruses are cold-adapted, which means they are designed to only cause infection at the cooler temperatures found within the nose. The viruses cannot infect the lungs or other areas where warmer temperatures exist.

Flu shots give you a type of strain of the flu virus that is most likely to be spread.. Not all flu shots are the same.. thats why I refuse to get them.

I couldn't agree with this more. I also work in public schools, and it's important to remember that even if you don't feel like the immunization is helpful to yourself, you're also helping prevent the spread of illness to those who potentially couldn't have benefits of the vaccination themselves (ex: pregnant women, those allergic to immunizations, those with autoimmune deficiencies, and so on.) They're not able to have that chance of immunity.

It's interesting how psychologically so many people have a similar experience to Chloe, and because of a selfish fear that it'll happen again, they choose not to vaccinate at all.

Vaccines are literally just injecting you with the disease, just in a very weakened and non-threatening way so your body can basically get practice fighting it off. The flu adapts and changes all the time, which is why it's a new vaccine every year.

The human body doesn't need to train to fight disease. Therefore it is most likely not necessary to vaccinate against diseases, since the body will figth and overcome the disease when you get it for real. This happens in the same way that your lungs do not need to train to take up oxygene, your eyes do not need to train to see things and your ears do not need to train to hear. These things happen automatically with or without training.

I am generally very sceptical towards waccination and I thus agree with Max if she is also against vaccination.

Remember this game is made by a french studio, we basically have no anti vaccination groups at all here in europe. In most countries here vaccination is mandatory for children.
