Can't look at the picture.

At the begining when you're in the classroom and are instructed to look at the picture, I can't.

When I left click I am only able to drag my mouse about half way to the picture, at that point my mouse runs into an invisible wall, and can't move any further.

you're not supposed to drag the mouse to the picture, when interacting with stuff you drag the mouse to the different options like "Look" or "Search" or "Speak" etc.
It wasn't obvious to me at first either. I think the developers designed it more for use with a controller as it seems like it would be much more intuitive with a thumbstick than a mouse. I had no problems playing through the episode with KB&M though.

No need to be insulting, I read the instructions several times, and to me it seemed as though it was asking me to drag the cursor to the photo, so excuse me for being confused (P.S. I've played through both seasons of The Walking Dead, I know how to read in a Point and Click).

I ran into this exact same issue hahah.. and thought I had to drag the photo into the circle or something? I felt kinda silly afterwards.

Yeah like these other peeps said, click and drag your mouse towards the option you want to select.

Don't be a jerk, I actually had trouble doing it aswell because the instructions were not clear at all "drag mouse to photo to look at it" when it should read "drag cursor to "LOOK" to look at it".

IMO, this game plays more like Full Throttle or the Monkey Island remakes than the recent TT games in regards to interacting with objects. That said, it too took me a few minutes to make Max look at the photo. The difference between this and the games I mentioned before is that this game has a barrier when you hold on the mouse button. You then release the button over the word you would like to do with the object. In Full Throttle, you click on the object and then click on the icons to interact.

I had this same problem because the instructions say to "drag mouse to photo to look at it" - so thanks for the quick clear-up.

I've watched a few "lets play" videos and it was a common issue at first.

Like I said its the screen size you ppl are playing your sixe too big for your computer to handle. Try lowering.

I played the game using an Intel 4770K and GeForce 980 with a 1980 x 1080p monitor. That said, I am sure my PC can handle this game especially if it can play the newest games in the highest Ultra settings. It is not the screen size, making the game not working properly - maybe on you computer, but not everyone else's computer. It is the misleading instructions at the beginning of the game.

I wonder why donned made the keyboard layout different than the controller layout - they didn't give a similar process with the controller, which they could have can easily done with right thumbstick. I can imagine dontnod eventually going withthe drag feature for the mouse layout as a means to have ppl second guess their decisions - as a means to build up more tension and more thought to the player. To clarify, a person dragging their cursor over something like eggs over toast will have the player contemplate that decision more than if he or she simply press a button to have eggs over toast.

Otherwise, it would have made more sense to click on the words like a traditional point and click game.

The funny thing with the controller layout is that it is just button pressing. For instance, instead of dragging the Crusor to look or touch something, the y button icon will be next to look and the a button icon. Will be next to touch. Maybe donned changed the layout of the controller at the last minute, but not the keyboard and mouse. Regardless, once you successfully look at your photo in the first part of the game, the dragging cursor feature will be like setting bond nature.
