[Spoilers] Chloe's Necklace and Symbolism
Up until the end of Dark Room, Chloe has been shot twice: once in Chrysalis, and again in Out of Time. Both times Max saved her. So in Dark Room, she gets shot and killed, for a total of 3. Her necklace has 3 bullets on it, so that sort of makes me think that Max will save her again. It makes sense given how there have been so many choices that revolved around her: killing her would have rendered all of them moot.

I wonder though, if she'll get shot a 4th time. The symbolism suggests that Max won't be able to save her, so I surmise that early on in Polarized, Max will escape (with the help of The A-Team, MacGyver, and G.I. Joe) and save Chloe in a non-choice based manner, probably with Warren's photo as a lot of people have suggested. Then, near the end of the episode, (I really hope for a second season) one of the endings will result in Chloe getting shot a 4th time, with Max being unable to save her.

A lot of people believe this. Personally, I don't know whether to think of the necklace as important symbolism, or just a red herring the devs put there for the precise reason that people will try to find symbolism and clues everywhere. I think it should be noted that Chloe being shot in the junkyard is an optional event, and doesn't happen if you tell her to shoot the tire the first shot. So I don't know if we should count that for the "3 bullet theory".

Did you notice Chloe's skull t-shirt in episode 4 has a bandage on the forehead in the exact spot Chloe gets shot at the end? There are a lot of little details like that. Chloe's truck is double-parked in the handicapped zone in episode 1, for instance, much like Chloe herself in the alternate timeline.

I find they just did a close up on it for dramatic effect, nothing more. Like Vald said, "Chloe being shot in the junkyard is an optional event, and doesn't happen if you tell her to shoot the tire the first shot." In my game she has only been shot two times.

I know that it's optional, but there is too much focus on the necklace than neccessary. We could take the symbolism a step further and assume each bullet symbolizes her death, then, excluding optional outcomes (i.e., her death in the alternate timeline), she would have died 3 times.

But do we count mortal wounds, or only incidents where Chloe was definitely dead before Max used her power? For instance, when she's shot in the bathroom in episode 1, that's a very serious and potentially fatal injury, but it's not the kind of hit that would kill instantly. I don't think she was dead before Max used her rewind. In other words, if the necklace represents "3 lives", does she "lose a life" when receiving a wound that WILL be fatal if Max doesn't rewind, or only if she actually dies before Max rewinds? We don't know.

It's clear to me now, judging from the pinup board in Max's room, that she's planning on bringing in Schrödinger's Cat, to squeeze it for an extra 9 lives. :P

Eh, I'm just pointing it out. Time will tell.

I'm sure this necklace is a symbol. Just like the skull in Chloe's shirt (or whatever is this). And she have another skull in her's tattoo. We'll manage to save her, but at the end of the game, maybe we need to "let her go", or save her, and sacrefice ourselves or Arcadia Bay. Or both.

Let's wait and see.
