This game is not very original. But it's good.
It has a lot of similarities: the junkyard where they hang out, the protagonist abandoning her childhood best friend... I lile both the game and the movie, but it's obvious the devs are especially big fans of that one.
Even the way the photos vibrate (like the notebooks in the movie) reminded me a lot of this connection the first time I played. It's cool, though. Creative ideas should be taken and evolved.
Edit: the way the protagonist comes back after a change and he finds himself popular with the cool kids...
Edit: the diner, the wheelchair timeline.... The father issues of the childhood friend...
Edit: the friend dying and the protagonist travelling in time to save her... Time jumps causing brain damage/bleeding... I could go on :)
Edit: the way rewrites are presented in the movie and as changing photos in the game, with that *swoosh*. I'm watching the movie and finding a lot of similarities to be a coincidence.
Edit: the way the dude eats in the diner, protecting his food with his arm as if he had been in jail...
The scene where the protagonist convinces Chloe/Rayleigh in the diner booth...
And finally, the only way to make things right is to lose her forever and give up your powers.
