So what do you think is with all the dead animals? (Spoilers?)

So before the timeline change you will notice a bunch of dead birds all over the place. Then in the new Timeline you have the whales who beached themselves. What do you think that is ment to be telling us other than bad things coming.

whales are way bigger than birds ,to me means that we mess a "little" with rewind and we have dead birds ,but then we mess too much and we have dead whales

Max started seeing disaster omens before ever using her power (first thing in the game before she goes to the bathroom is a dream with the tornado) so it doesn't make sense that her power would be the cause of the disaster. Of course, we don't know anything about her power, really, and it may be possible someone else has it, and THAT'S what's messing things up.

There was graffiti somewhere of the seventh sign in the Hopi Prophecy somewhere (I forget which episode and location) saying "You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it." So it could be the Prophecy working it's way into the story.

Yes. It's going to be very confusing if her powers are the cause of the problem.
I think the idea here is that Max can't really use them for her own interests, because "life is strange", as in, life is unknown, unpredictable, so she needs to find out how her powers can help save Arcadia Bay and do what needs to be done, instead of keep trying to control the outcome of her life and that of the ones she loves.

My theory...the cause of the tornado is Chloe's hate of everything,

"I would like to drop a bomb on Arcadia Bay and turn it to glass!!!"

The key to stopping the tornado will be to convince Chloe to let go of her hate and stop blaming the world for everything that has happened to her...

Of course it is just a theory and I am eargerly awaiting the "real" story in episode's 4 and 5! :)

Ooo I didn't even think of that, but you're right. Definitely plausible with how much she wants to "take over the world" and "destroy Arcadia Bay", like she's subconciously responsible for its destruction. But then that would mean that she's not exactly normal either, because no normal person could have that kind of supernatural effect on something.

My original theory was that Max and her powers is the cause of it, and the only way to save Arcadia Bay in Episode 5 is to kill yourself or have Chloe kill you, and then the powers will somehow transfer to Chloe and she will have to learn how to use it, to "Rule the world" or to learn from Max's mistakes. But I think that theory is shattered by the fact that they said Season 2 will have a completely new cast... Unless Chloe moved away and she was the only recurring cast.

Naw, I really have no idea. I'm very excited to see what's been causing all this weird ♥♥♥♥. And they better not pull that "it was all a dream" lazy writing BS that people were really into in the mid to late 90s. [not that I expect them to]

I do think it will have some correlation to Chloe/ max' relationship. There is too much story focused on them for there not to be some sort of reprocess ion.

At first I thought the dead animals and tornado were from using Max's powers. Now I am thinking they are from Rachel Amber being stuck between two alternate universes. Only Max will be able to see her (as only she would be able to see schrodinger's cat in both states at once. Just like Max can see the transparent deer and the camera can not. I think the big ending will be Max shutting down the creeps in the dark room, then going to the lighthouse and pulling or pushing Rachel Amber from being stuck. Chloe did something to Rachel after she had an emotional breadkdown. I am starting to think RA might have taken the 3000 and was planing on leaving without Chloe. At least Chloe thought she was leaving without her. Since she didn't know about Frank, perhaps RA took the money to give back to him. Chloe has a temper she might not have been listening to RA when she tried to explain why she took the money. When Max saves RA it will end the connection between the two universes and all will be well with the natural world. But, what happens next will be up to you. Forgive Chloe for trying to hurt RA, or not? I am gioing the forgive route. Don't forget, Trust No One!

I think the story's the classic play on destiny, and Chloe's destiny was to die in the bathroom that day. Since Chloe did not die, destiny has to find another way to her, as in the end she must die no matter what. I've seen that theme in other things, though nothing I can name right away. Three years later.

There is no such thing as destiny. All those "desting to die", "fate has it out", etc. is just some bullsh*t used as an excuse by those who lack the will to fight the odds. Chloe has to live, no matter what. As well as Max.
