They're both just not entirely sure what they are yet. Entirely normal for girls their age. Chloe made the dare, Max, to her surprise, took it, and then later (in Frank's camper) Max said something to Chloe like "You'll probably just ask me to kiss you again." Which, in turn, was also a veiled test (to see how Chloe would react). Nothing conclusive yet, either way.
Max did got hella clingy towards Chloe after alt!timeline.
Could be that roadtrip away from Arcadia Bay she's been dreaming since she was a kid. With a little bit of spice ofc ;)
Chloe's not the kind that abandon the ones who helped her.
I bet everyone would expect Chloe to be all spicy and aggressive, but I think it would be adorable if she got really shy and awkward and hesitant when trying to finally say out loud how she feels about Max. Vulnerable Chloe is cutest Chloe.
HA. Blue punk tries to show shy hipster how she feels while keeping up that badass look but failing miserably bc she gets all flustered thus ends up with her looking like a complete nerd?
I can see that.
