In episode 4, how can I prevent Frank from getting injured?

I've tried like 6 times taking all different speech paths and no matter what I try Frank gets shot or stabbed. Should I tell Chloe to get rid of the gun? Should I tell Frank to close the door? wat do?

Okay, depending on what you did in the previous episodes, there are a few variations on what to you.

On the top of my head, do this:

Tell Chloe to throw out the gun
Tell Frank to close the door
Tell Frank you're sorry
Tell Frank you were scared or you were protecting Chloe
Tell Frank about dog rescue (or if you do not have that option, that you love dogs)
Tell Frank that he knows Rachel.

It didn't work on my playthrough because Frank asked Max where she got it from or something.

Try not to say or do anything that makes him angry, try to tell him that you are there to save Rachel. Frank loves Rachel and if you tell him that he would likely give you his RV if you asked him nicely...Oh and if you stole the money in the principal office PAY HIM that does it pretty much right away..

Maybe he had Frank show Max Rachel's photo, and then rewinded to before Frank showed the photo to Max? So in this situation Max knows about the photo but she forgot that she rewinded so that Frank doesn't remember showing her the photo?

Time travel is confusing like that. It would be pretty funny if they actually put that in just in case, because there's really no reason to rewind past that point...after Frank takes out the picture you've already won, just take the keys, rewind to just before you took the keys, and exit.

Just to clarify: two of the "correct" response change depending on how you got Franks Keys: if you use the Dog rescue line to get the keys the correct response to the "Pompidou section" is to say dog rescue, and if you got his keys by asking to see Rachel's photo, then Rachel's photo is the correct response for the "Rachel section."

max is referring to the photo Frank can show her in the diner.

Now what I'm curious about is.... Can you accidentally admit to hurting Pompidou and still get the peaceful ending? Most people only have 1 chance to upset Frank before he snaps because he gets angry for not getting his money, but if you give him the money and then admit to hurting pompidou (say pompidou a name) does he calm down and act friendly 5 seconds later? lol

Same thing with mentioning Rachel's letters, does he forgive you after you pretty much admit to breaking into his RV and looking through his private letters?

Which brings up the most important thing... How does Frank not know that you broke in to his RV? He thinks he lost his keys, sure buuuut... Max and Chloe are asking for Franks client list which wouldn't be much use to them without Franks account book, so how does Frank not realize that you broke into his RV and stole his account book?

If you do something messed up, you rewind to the beginning and tell Chloe to stay calm. You have specific super calm choices to opt for after that. If you don't nail it, just keep rewinding til you get it right.

That doesn't make sense to me since in my although, Max shows Frank that she had taken his keys, though I do not remember if I rewind it after I did it.

ThAt might have happened in my play through. I do not recall, but I did rewind a lot during the key event.

The whole thing about Frank is he actually loves Rachel and misses her terribly so any hope you can give him even if that hope means you likely were going through his things in the RV means he will go for it because love makes you do strange things, have you ever been in love?
