Life is strange that way.
Edit. I suppose you know that already. Hmm, possibly do the dare in EP3 and not kiss Warren in EP5?
I did choose to sacrifice Chloe, but they only hugged. Some people say that the choices before determine what happens.
hmm...I didn't think about the movie with Warren. Good thing I have two saves where I have different choices. I'll test it out.
Whether Max agreed to Warren's request for the movies or not doesn't seem to matter.
I think so too. I'm gonna go back a few chapters and test it out.
Other choices I made:
Took the dare
Hugged Warren
Sided with Chloe against David
Helped Chloe end her life in the "William Lives" alternate reality
Saw the movie with Warren (Doesn't affect the final kiss)
Let Chloe take the money
Didn't take Kate's call
Tried to shoot Frank
Those are all I can think of that could possibly affect the final kiss/hug. I'll update this post if I can think of any others.
Just because you didn't do it doesn't mean it isn't a factor. I know from testing that even if you side against Chloe in every other choice, taking the blame is enough for her to kiss you in Episode 5. I'm currently testing whether or not blaming her negatively impacts her desire to kiss Max, but taking the money, siding with Chloe, and taking the blame are all definitely each enough on their own (not factoring in kissing Warren).
In my second playthrough I was offered a kiss from Warren (ew!) and did get a kiss from Chloe!
I think not taking Kate's call is one of things that impresses Chloe. There was a thread a while back that detailed what things triggered her to change her phone picture from one of Chloe & Rachel to one of just Max. I suspect you'll need that to have happened at least. If I remember correctly there were 4 or 5 things of which you needed to do at least 3. Off the top of my head I think it was taking the blame for the joint, not taking Kate's call, trying to shoot Frank & stealing the money. Pretty sure you see her phone change just before the kiss dare so it probably needs to be done too for the finale kiss. Choice of which locker room might have an affect too as Chloe's voice and body language suggest she is asking about more than which route to the pool you want to take.
I guess I worded that incorrectly. What I meant was I'm not sure it is the defining choice as to whether or not the final kiss happens. That in conjunction with other choices might, however, like you said, factor into whether or not your relationship with Chloe is good enough to trigger the final kiss. Sorry about the confusion.
So for me my choices where:
Took the dare to kiss Chloe
Sided with Chloe against David
Stayed hidden after getting blazed
Refused to ender Chloe's life while paralyzed
Accepted movie invitation from Warren
HUGGED Warren
Thanks guys.
That is really a shame. I have to not take the dare I think at one point and see if I still get the kiss.
