Nathan Prescott *spoilers*

So I wanna know if people forgive or sympathized with Nathan Prescott. By the end of the game we find out out Nathan was being used by Jefferson. Hearing him apologize and trying to warn Max made me sympathize with him a bit and he obviously has mental issues but to me that does not justify his actions at all and I feel like he got what was coming to him.

Personally - neither. After seeing Chloe's pic in Nathan's room (like him pulling a gun on Chloe and shooting her wasn't enough) I hella wished there was "join Warren" option when he went GO APE on Nathan. And his "apology" made me even more furious with him. He knew Jerkerson was coming and instead of running to police and coming clean (saving himself AND preventing that psycho from ending anyone else) he sent "I didn't do it" sob story to Max. Which Max for some reason didn't receive at first, even though it was seemingly around vortex party time.

This. So very much this. At best he regrets his actions and shows some vulnerability, and also is willing to warn Max about Jefferson.

But! Earlier this week I was thinking about one other thing that made me think he wasn't 100% irredeemable scumbag, and this is one hell of a compliment to his voice actor: that split-second where he completely "breaks character" when he thinks it's Rachel standing by his table. It felt like this tiny glimpse of a hope that she really was back, and that all the horror that he'd taken part in was just this long awful psychotic hallucination caused by his lack of access to his real meds.

I'm not sure if it's enough to communicate true remorse, but it definitely felt like the seed for it was there.

That's a very good point. I never thought much about that scene but I'd like to think that's true.

Yeah I really don't know why he didn't call/go to the authorities.
