not sure about "love" in a romantic sense but it is obvious that max cares about warren. in the end, the player can decide whether she should reciprocate those feelings but there wasn't really an inkling of chemistry between the two or even chloe. being good friends with people don't necessarily have to lead to anything more.

He does seem to grow on her depending on your choices at least from what I have seen. In my play through I was very pro Warren and she seemed to be more into the idea as time went on, moreso than when compared to a lets plays I've seen where the players were less pro Warren or more Chloe focused in their choices.

Love though? I wouldn't go that far, then again I think love is something that grows over time.

The best way to friend zone him is to accept his invitation to the drive in but kiss Chloe... and give him a hug. It's a bonus that you make Brooke jealous. Keep him so deep in the friend zone that it hurts.
