Fifty Percent. But what did you first choose?
Preface: Forgive me... I have a few before I delve into this particular game cuz, lets face it, it's not a game demanding twitch reflexes and fast tactical thought in the same way my other favorite game does; Far Cry 3. And I have that game modded ever so slightly to spawn more enemies to make it more interesting... or stress relief... or whatever. btw did I meantion I've had a few, and I have ADD... Hey look, a squirrel .

So, after my first choice on the ending I really noticed the the ending choice among participants was 50/50. Wait... let'me back up... I think it worth mentioning that It took me five minutes and another (big) sip of a fine 12 Year before I finally rationallized even making a choice (literally took five minutes), then I did, then I found out we were all 50/50. O.K. so that means we've all reloaded the very last scene and chosen to see both sides... But the game doesn't seem to track what we INITIALLY chose. So...

My logic, in short, was that Max didn't come to Arcadia to simply do nothing and not make an impact so going back and not saving Chloe seemed the more empty choice. So... I 'initially' sacrificed Arcadia. That said, after reloading to see the other side of the choice, the latter left me more... affected; the nobility of it, the respecting of Chloe's logic, the lasting results... and quite frankly we all knew we were going to be funneled to one of two choices. We knew where this started, we knew where it was going.

And to all the "We were funneled like Mass Effect 3", I was as piszed as anyone else at that ending but there is a distinct, very valid difference; Mass Effect 3 was a choice of Left, Right, or Center (Blue, Red, or Green) and ALL us feeling a little PIS5ED after what was about 100+ hours of gameplay and being told our choices will matter by a man I'll never trust a word from again (oh look, a squirrel) . This was a shorter, more emotionally impactful-per-hour-played game and... The ENTIRE FINAL EPISODE _WAS_ ONE LONG ENDING! It was. It didn't offer a single Left-or-right choice that mattered in the long run. About the most insightful aspect was all the counterpoint it offered to the anti-Warren crowd that Warren actually showed some depth and faith in Max at a pivotal point, and that Victoria actually harbors some respect and heart. That's it. Otherwise... one long ending sequence.

So... What was your initial final choice, and why? And how long did you take to make that choice? How long did you sit there before finally choosing?

it took me about 5 minutes to choose. I chose to save chloe & sacrifice arcadia bay. I did see the other ending, as I was watching a twitch stream as well. But I saw it as, I used my powers to ♥♥♥♥ up all this ♥♥♥♥. But my max was someone who was gonna stick with the decisions she made, no matter what. and going back, just undoing all this ♥♥♥♥, didn't seem right.

Chloe first, and ♥♥♥♥ the ending man. Our choices didn't mean ♥♥♥♥.

I chose to sacrifice the town without hesitation, in protest of being asked to make such an absurd choice. I still can't believe that the most cliched possible ending that people have been predicting since episode 1 is actually the one they went with. It's just so much less than what they're capable of. Wow.

I went and destroyed Arcadia Bay. Then went back to another save and played the other choice. Was not disappointed. It always comes down to choices anyway, so it was pretty obvious. But I was a bit of a wreck on the Chloe ending.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ save Chloe. But I was let down.

Chose the other one to see if it's any better. It's still a let down.

The save Chloe ending was WAY better, I mean here I was the whole game saving her because she is my best friend. So what the ♥♥♥♥ did they expect me to do? Choice was easy.

Sacrifice Chloe cause it sounded like the right thing to do and honestly this ending was for me the canon one because it just feel like the right thing to do and i liked the last scene where you see the blue butterfly on chloe grave and max smiling that mean she will always remember Chloe. And the second ending was meh because first it was to short and you clearly see the dev work more on the first one than this one idk it just doesn't feel like a good ending for me. (sorry for bad english)

Sacrificed Chloe, was the only right thing to do for me.

Chloe's death was a better and longer ending. The other one is awful...i mean...everyone else who actually helped Max dies.

I chose instantly, without hesitation, and sacrificed Arcadia.
EDIT: And I refuse to go back and change that decision or to even see how the other side of things would play out.
