Oh that's stupid mate !? I just started to love this game. My opinion changed dramatically ! One of the main parts can not be manipulated ? Damn it mate.
I'm not on the plane, I'm going to leave, get some rest. I know my character is probably going to have an accident... Thank you guys.
You can't change Max choosing to save William at the end of episode three either or vast numbers of constant elements throughout all five episodes.
All deaths of Chloe (except one with the train) are "unpreventable" (and I won't mention certain character from episode 4 whom you already met and left behind)
You have to see them, those deaths, and work to undo them.
And then the end comes to you...
Not to offend you in any way, but I think some of the facts pointed out here are wrong.
I'm pretty sure that Mr. Jefferson mentioned him in the Dark Room, when you play as Max, locked. He says how Nathan was easy to manipulate, he helped him take you (player, Max), blah blah blah. It means that he could have been there at the Junkyard with him. Then, (this is gonna make your brain explode, as my English sucks, and it's pretty interesting topic). The scene goes, Max gets injected, and starts falling down, we do not get to see a clear shot at Chloe, but I'm pretty sure she would make some good 'tortured' pictures. Max rewinds, and warns Chloe (I'm talking about this, as only Mr. Jefferson was there), Chloe turns around, and on same second gets 'headshoted' by him in 360 no-scope fashion. Chloe falls down, and we see Jefferson coming towards us. If Max didn't rewind, he would not kill Chloe for sure, and would probably go in the same manner, and strangle her, or inject her, whatever he wants to, I can not really explain it, but I'm sure we both were injected before rewind. When you talk with someone, at the middle of the night, in a place surrounded by forest, you really can not hear anything? I don't think that logic works that way, even if they were digging up the body. It doesn't make sense. I'm going to finish Episode 5, thank you all for your helpful replies.
Nathan is not at the junkyard with Jefferson, he is already dead at this point. The "help" Jefferson mentions is that Jefferson uses Nathan's phone to lure Max and Chloe there.
Jefferson shoots Chloe intead of drugging her because she doesnt fit his ideals, he wants to capture purity and Chloe is impure and filthy in his mind, and he hates her because she is corrupting Max.
Dude, she couldn't rewind at that point, cause she had no power and control over herself. If she could rewind, why didn't she rewind further to warn her about her being shot and so on? The episode ends as she passes out and knows that Chloe got shot. He was definetly going to drug Chloe too, but instead he kills Chloe by a headshot.
