Stuck at start of episode two

I just started episode 2. The first scene where ur in a dark room with the alarm going off. My game kind glitches a bit when I'm not quite in the perfect spot, so the action you would click on disappears and reappears and even if u time it perfectly to left click, it still disappears and doesn't work. Until this point I have been able to work with it and make it work in the right spots, even though it is fusterating. But at this point it's supposed to just show up and you turn off the alarm(I went on YouTube and watched game play throughs). I'm not quite sure how to move forward in the game at this point now. I am playing on a laptop and I am not using a mouse(I don't have one). I am going to borrow my moms to see if it helps but if it doesn't, do you have any suggestions?

Cant offer any concrete help, sadly, but a general rule is that you should validate files and, in worst case, reinstall. Oftentimes that solves the issue.

To do so, rightclick on the game in your library, go to "properties", "local content", "verify integrity of game cache".

tried that, but didn´t work.....instead I launched the game in "Save Mode".....everything was fine ;) (ok, and I downloaded the game again for ps3^^)
