A blind playthrough of Life Is Strange
Greetings Ladies and Gents,

my name is Kammellion and I am planning on a blind playthrough of the game Life is Strange on YouTube.
I do not know anything about this game other than apparently it is a good game, it is story based and divided into episodes. Apparently these episodes are between 1,5 and 2,5 hours long, depending on the player.

Because I will do a blind let's play of this game for the channel, I would like to get some advice to see what I am getting myself into (spoiler free!). For example, is this game also choice based with different outcomes?

The most burning question I have would be, can I save my game during episodes? Like in the middle of episode 1, can I save my game and continue later?

Lastly, give me any spoiler free advice you can give me :D . I am really looking forward to play this game for the channel.

Sincerely,
Kammellion

EDIT: I just got a pm from someone asking about the channel, I will post a link here for those who are interested: https://www.youtube.com/c/Kammellion
Please, do not feel obliged to check it out :-) .

Get ready to board the feels train in the later eps. There are checkpoints throughout each ep, like when you enter a new area. It saves fairly often.

My advice is to prepare for the feels. Especially in the later episodes. Have fun playing it :)

There are checkpoints frequently. You can go back to any checkpoint at any time. There are three save slots. When you go back to a checkpoint you can choose to start the game in your current save slot from that point, though that will wipe out anything beyond that checkpoint, or you can choose to start at that checkpoint using one of the other two save slots which would keep the progess on your main slot unchanged.

Choices do matter, in fact that's a large part of the draw of the game. The game will let you know when you're making a choice that will have future consequences. Sometimes those consequences are short term and often predictable (shoot a person and they're dead, as a random example), others may not be obvious and not become so until much further down the road.

As to advice, as with most point and click adventure games, the best advice is talk to everyone and examine everything, more then once. The unique game mechanic makes this even more important. I don't know exactly how blind your blindness is so I'll avoid mentioning exactly what that mechanic is.

Thank you for the advice guys.

My blindness is uber blindness, I know nothing, haven't even watched the games trailer.

Will it be obvious when a checkpoint is passed? So will it be obvious when the game saves?

Yes there's a little icon that appears in the upper corner of a pencil writing on a peice of paper when it's saving. You can't miss it.

Yes. Everytime the game saves there is an icon comes up on the bottom left of your screen.

Fantastic, thank you very much.
I just got off the feels train of Undertale, so this is going to be good as well.

Only advices.
READ AND CHECK EVERYTHING in game. Posters, texts, books, images, other people's computers, other people's trashcans...
Be prepared to be hit with bittersweet joy and utter sadness.
Be prepared to feel like emotional wreck several times.
Be prepared for some big NOOOOOOs.
Don't read ANYTHING from the Net in advance.

when do you expect your first LiS video to go up?

Oh, if you _really_ explore and immerse in all scenes you can immerse in, episodes take 4~5 hours each. I took about 15 hours for first blind play-though (and you will lose more than half emotional value if you know ANYTHING in advance other than some widespread images of Max and Chloe and other characters... hell, some images already betray too much!).

Haven't seen any images as well, so I'm good haha ^^ .

Hmmmm..... I think either the end of this week or next week. It will depend on the time at hand. I upload a video a day, but when I record the first episode of a new game it requires some more prep and emotional rediness hahaha ;-) ! I think my episodes will be between 30 min and an hour long, it all, again, depends.
I also do not know how much edditing I will have to do for an episode of LiS, but I will do my very best to upload the first episode soon.

I'll keep an eye out.

And yeah, it took me 24 hours to play through all 5 episodes.

The game is longer than expected, fantastic :D ! This week I am finishing up my playthrough of Undertale. I think, to avoid dissapointment, the best thing you can expect for now is a first episode next week ^^ . Nevertheless, I will do my best :D . It is all about planning I guess.
