Only when at the end it was like " the new Max Caufield adventure" i was like "woot? O.O"
I was sure that it is a Life is Strange game but not that it was Max.
I actually recognized her. Given that she started saying "i swore to not use my powers again" i start to question. Seeing that familiar face was enough. I was mouth open the whole time. Still cannot believe we are here.
Its going to be the same price as True Colours and like with that game there is a deluxe and Ultimate Edition. The Ultimate version getting access to the first two episodes two weeks before the main release.
Every single new LIS game has seen a price hike there's no likelihood this being cheaper than True Colours was.
50$ Base
60$ Deluxe
80$ Ultimate
I'll be waiting for a seasonal Steam sale and get it for probably 50% off.
None of the LIS and LIS2 succesors were worth half-price.
I guess the time will tell.

Life Is Strange Two was overpriced at launch as well. Then lets not ignore Farewell being locked to a deluxe edition that had nothing else of worth in it. Square have continually price gauged Life Is Strange.
I am...worried. CLEARLY I'm a LiS fan *looks at bio*, and I'm under no delusion that I won't be buying this, but a game where you play as Max with no Chloe seems....bad. Like, in my game Max and Chloe survive and 'live happily ever after' so her not being there is concerning. Then again, the parallel universes set up a nice possible story for this, and from the screenshots it looks like she uses pictures to file away specific ones, and one says 'Chloe #2' so maybe there is multiple Chloes?
Hell, we might even get one with Rachel.
Also, the whole 'saving a friend with powers' story has already been done, and given the price she paid to save Chloe, would Max really do it again for someone that isn't as important? And why is her power different and not a rewind?
My other worry is, with games going 'woke' so often, if there was any series that would do it it would be this one, and that scares me.
I'm...cynical by nature, and while most of me is just excited for more LiS stories, part of me realize this has all the markings of a cash-grab that's going to ruin my absolute favorite game of all time.
