Fanfictions in LiS fandom

Since I already received two messages that such a thread would be appreciated, here it is.
I'll start it by listing all 'fics that I value. I won't list one-shots (except the only one that really, really deserves it), because I prefer long reads.

First and foremost, the one and only fic that gave me more emotions than actual game:

"i'm trying not to let it show[archiveofourown.org]" -- it's a one-shot set after ep.4, but... I value it SO much.

Second, the best possible outcome of LiS one can imagine (one-change AU):

"Ouroboros[archiveofourown.org]" -- when Max goes back to... kill Chloe, Chloe's mind is somehow taken with her into her own past self. She moves an inch to the side and stays alive. Then they return back to that friday... but there is no storm. Everything from that moment on is just way too happy, but still very, very possible.

Third, the fanfic I love and wait for continue above all the others:

"Letters from Tomorrow[www.fanfiction.net]" -- it starts in that class again. From Victoria's POV. The moment Max takes that selfie, she is possessed. By her bitter, angry, outraged and really determined future-self. And that future self leaves past Max a message. That changes a great lot of things.
I repeat, I absolutely love this fic. It spans 110K words already and it's currently only tuesday morning out there, and there some canon deviations, but... really, really good ones.

Next, list of strict-canon fanfics I really love:

"Life becomes even stranger[docs.google.com]" -- begins at the moment of final scene, sacrifice AB choice, spans only two-days but is over 200K words, and it's the one I'm waiting for most. Sadly, it's semi-abandoned (and yes, folks, anyone who likes that, contact ShadowDragon8685 who is here on this very board)

"Life Goes On[archiveofourown.org]" -- set after day after sacrifice AB ending, spans a long time, the damage was heavy, but many major characters are still alive. A good depiction of Max suffering severe disorder. Max still has her powers.

"Safe and Sound[archiveofourown.org]" -- after all the destruction, Max is almost insane. She slowly, very slowly recovers. This one is almost finished, author said only epilogue is left.

"All wounds[archiveofourown.org]" -- I don't like where it leads after timeskip, and how can you fail to save Kate?... but this one is very good.

"All that remains[www.fanfiction.net]" -- a huge marvel, recently completed, starts after Max tears the photo, spans a long time, ends with Max & Chloe being together and finally achieving happiness. One canon deviation, but not severe one.

List of "Max goes back through photo but can't let Chloe die" fics:

"Take it all back[archiveofourown.org]" -- Max goes back, but can't stand still. She takes photo of Nathan... but gun still goes off. Chloe is shot... but one slight change, and she survives. Max loses her power, but still gets nosebleeds. There are more minor canon deviations (there were more time travellers...) and there is something very shady going on.

"Give it another shot[archiveofourown.org]" -- Max goes back, Max takes the shot, Max is in coma for a long time, but awakens. Spans several days after that, concerning mostly PriceField, their reconnection, falling apart and reconnection again, then epilogues several years after. Has second part that is set between last chapter and epilogue.

"End/Hospital[www.fanfiction.net]" -- Max goes back. Max decides it was her who needed to die. Max gets shot. Max survives. Max loses her powers. Deals with Max trying to build relationship with Chloe who has no memory of that week. Finished, spans till next summer, 136K words. I recommend _all_ the stories by that author, btw.

list of more-that-slight canon divergence ones that I really like:

"Better Then[archiveofourown.org]" -- Max goes back and kills Chloe. She loses her powers. Then life spirals downwards for her for five months. She goes to lighthouse and jumps. But her powers awaken, and she reverts back to the top. Then she uses photo, saves Chloe and writes herself a letter. Then she wakes up again... in a very, VERY different everything. Best usage of time powers of all the fics I read, really.

"Obsura[www.fanfiction.net] & Once Upon a Time on Hellaween[www.fanfiction.net]" Max sacrifices Chloe... Max lives on... until an echo of the past catches on, with duct tape, drugs, bullets and photo equipment. And Chloe is a ghost. That has a mission to make sure Max never, ever uses that photo again. It all ends four years back in time... again.


...there are many more I read, favourited/bookmarked, but theese are the ones I remember about when I'm trying to recollect all things, so I listed them.
Here goes nothing.

All That Remains, my favourite, i wasn't read many.. i stopped at some point, but this one took me 3 days busy & away from daily stuffs. Atm i follow a new one in progress from a different author (Catboiler), but All that Remains is something i was dream off/imagine to for Max & Chloe so maybe that's why i am so attached to it and i really hope that will continue in future.

I also recommend this[www.fanfiction.net] one-shot from the same author to anyone who thinks that Nathan being a "victim" of his father and Jefferson does NOT excuse all the harm and pain he caused.

All that Remains, wow what a beautiful story! It gave me all the feels of the game and more though this time they were happy tears! If anyone is wondering what happens to Max and Chloe after the game story ends you MUST read this!

It is a very long read, like reading a novel but well worth the time! Whoever wrote this should persue a career in writing no doubt about it!

Neat! I'm reading many of those too! Another I really like is over at fanfiction.net.. "So Far Gone" by deuce2891. Same characters same Archadia Bay but different story without any time travel powers. Gripping and well written.

Hi yes,All that remains is the first one I read, and inspired me to start my own. I'm currently working on a complete novelisation of the events of the game. It says something about this game that I really want to read fanfics now....I love fanfiction but I tend to limit myself to a pretty select group of 'fandoms'...

Incidently would love more recomendations with stories that majorly involve the time travel aspect.
