I want to punch some of those payed Let´s-Players in the face

Seriously. I am watching this let´s play of a quiet popular game-stream going Life Is Strange and I am actually extremely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ at the players (they are two). It´s the youtube channel "farfromsubtle" (kinda hate "supporting them" by posting their name here, but arg am I angry).

Most of the time they make fun of how stupid Max´s desicions are and how cliché this game is and they guy is constantly rageing and not even actually paying atention to the story so many times.
The top iceing is also the comments in their twtich stream which is shown in the video. So many people comment hilarious but then still insulting and without any clue.

I can understand that Life is strange has flaws, but when you see a ♥♥♥♥ing payed streamer doing it for the popularity, acting like they are just doing their job and seemingly not enjoy the game AT all... it just ♥♥♥♥ing grinds my gears... WHY NOT QUIT, YOU ♥♥♥♥♥? Just stop playing LiS. But nooo, you need to boost your stream with popular titles... You can even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ see how COMERCIAL this stream is. From episode 1 the guy dressed as Max (tshirt) and his girl / sis I dont know is dressed as Chloe... and yet they COMPLAIN a ton, often even saying "I dont wanna play that game anymore Q.Q"....

Sure would not harm a person in real life, but this guy, I wanted to punch him A TON of times in the face and kick his balls. So disgusting...

Np I hate that too, making stupid bs comments etc just for the viewers, instead of focusing on the story and game more deeply :(. Gladly not everyone do it, but this is the reason anyway why I dont watch too many of them. Because I just dislike most of the fake reactions and annoying commentary. Not to forget the viewers comments...sigh what a way to ruin a video of fantastic game for others.

P.S. if someone hate a game so much or don't wanna play, should really stop playing as you said lol. D:

It´s like I would go into a game genre I don´t like and do troll-stuff. Like I would play a shooter and build snowmans in the landscape meanwhile my team dies or whatever. It´s a mega rude thing to do. Like going to church in real life and not being religious, sit down in the front row and start to fart....

Yeah, it can't ruin LiS never for us :), but the videos would be much more enjoyable for many and maybe even even for those who havent played it. I also don't like when ppl talk bad about my favorite game

The best let's plays I've seen of that game are from female players.
Geek Remix made the best one I think.
I really like one from a french youtuber called AtOmium. He even finished it with his girlfriend. That was cool.
I avoid youtubers that use to make fun of everything. There are good for funny games, or action games whatever, but not for narrative games.
I also avoid live streaming because the players are often too much looking at the chat and miss some stuff of the game, it's very annoying.

I remember watching one streamer, forgot the name, and it was ridiculous how he kept hating Chloe, even blaming her for Kate´s sucide attempt (I was like wtf?). I stopped when he kept ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ during the pool scene how It would be nice scene, if Chloe wasnt so bad friend for Max

Yeah, that is really annoying.. Anyone seeing the game for the first time through that can get it ruined for them.. :/

If you haven't seen MaterWelonz' letsplay you should, she's fantastic! Interacts with everything, talks with everyone, doesn't talk over dialogue, and has some really interesting and entertaining commentary.

I think Geek Remix is the best out there when covering LIS. Sure their theories went to crazy town after episode 3, but their other theories like the color schemes in the episode 1 and analysis of the themes in the earlier episodes were spot on. Their let's play is great as well.

Why would you even watch Lets Plays of a game like this?

I mean, watching esports is something I can totally understand. I have watched probably 100s of hours from DotA championships, LoL, Heroes of the Storm....

I can even kind of understand it for action games, though I dont do it myself. Like, you have trouble with a boss in Dark Souls so you watch some pro beat it naked with his bare fists at level 1 and feel inadequate....

But what is the appeal in watching people play a game that is more like an interactive movie to start with?!

Well, since it's impossible to play the game for the first time again, the closest you can get is watch someone experience it for the first time and go through that journey with them. Watching their reactions, decisions and reasons for them along with general commentary on the story can be really fun and interesting.
But of course that doesn't work if you're watching someone like pewdiepie who just jokes about everything and rushes through it, it only works with youtubers who actually like the genre like Materwelonz or BirdyBoots.
