Its in the Mac app store, so when do we get Mac support on Steam?!

I play nearly all my Steam games on Mac, because my PC sucks. So imagine my surprise when I visit the apple app store today and discover they have Life is Strange (the complete series of 5 episodes)...this makes me wonder...if its offered for the Mac in the app store, when do we get Mac support here on Steam? ...because I'd absolutly love to play this game.
