Well, the problem i have with Warren is his obsession with Max. She is clearly uncomfortable with his advances if you read her diary entrys and a lot of his behaviour is stalkerish.
He knows more about Max facebook page then herself, he constantly is hitting on her even if it makes her uncomfortable, he has no qualms to hurt the feelings of other girls like Brook to get Max and he acts very immature most of the time.
He may mean well but for me he came over as a very horny teenage boy with not much common sense in his pursuit of Max exept " i want her".
Its speaks volumes that he is one of the persons hunting Max in the nightmare stealth section in episode 5 and when you find his locker in the dream and Max sees the literal shrine he has of her she comments how incredible creepy that is.
All that shows how uncomfortable Max subconcious is with Warren and his obsession of her.
Even when Chloe comments in episode 4 how obviously he is in love with her she only sighs and basically facepalms "i know......"
That is not really a sign of endearment, more of frustration.
Also, for me personally he never clicked as a character. I just found him slightly annoying in episode 1 and it went steadily downhill from there.
Also he and Max have absolutly zero chemistry, like at all.
I dont know if its his voice actor or the script but there is nothing there.
With Chloe you have constant sparks flying and they work so well of each other.
I dont hate him, but i think the game would work better without him.
When I got my sister to play the game, she was extremely vocal about how he seriously needed to throttle back or risk ruining their friendship. When I asked her about the bit in the diner in episode 5, she said "I gave him a hug, because I do love him. And then I let him die, because Chloe is my soul mate."
Hug the man. He taught you how to make a bomb and both recieved and issued a Nathan Prescott beating. But he doesn't get any sugar.
To his credit, he seems to take the hint later on, to respect Max's lack of interest and to be willing to be just a friend, so I gave him a hug. But seriously, I see nothing to recommend dating Warren.
Not to go to much into it but there is no "good" ending. Both endings are canon and equal according to the devs. And i cant see Max with Warren in any case, he is way to immature for her.
One of the reasons Warren and Max are a bad match and it's not surprising she does not really respond well to his obtrusions. He is always 100% on testosterone boner mode when he sees her which comes along as stalkerish. She is kind of premature and non hormonal.
