1. Yes, it's all about Chloe, and she's always a main char, even if we push Max around.
2. No, not necessarily — LIS ending is irrelevant for the continuation of a story.

Unless True Colors decides to break that trend by not having him in that game at all.
The main Char isn´t Chloe or Max and i don´t think Chloe survived in a LIS3. The point why Max saved her all the time and at the and let her die is that Chloe searching for Rachel to revenge her drama. The point is Rachel`s curse. Rachel is in my opinion the hidden main character. Max and Chloe are helpmates of her revenge. in my opinion thats the myth or secret in LIS.
In LIS1, Chloe is the co-protagonist, and most of the storyline revolves around her. In Before the Storm, Chloe is the central character, and David’s presence in LIS2 is more or less either to show that he and Chloe eventually made nice or that he regretted not listening to her. It's arguable who the true main character is because it changes from game to game, but at the very least, I consider Max & Chloe to be the two most important characters because there would be no story without them.
I've found Chloe's narrative to be the most tragic, human, and compelling. I don't think there's a character who's as explored as she is. Her story is always front and center, and the games fill in the picture of her life quite thoroughly. She's written to be somewhat unlikable, but it's difficult not to empathize with her once you've learned her past. I think she's as much the main character as Max is. It's not unfair to say this, so it's not a delusion; it's an opinion.
Read what i said even earlier. I said Pricefield is the main character, which means I see Max and Chloe both as 2 main characters. Not just Chloe, as some are saying,
And I understand why everyone feels so. We have tons of information on Chloe's life and how she spent her 5 years while Max was gone. Hell, we even know more about Rachel than about Max.
And we have no clue how MAX spent those 5 years. Some justice shoulda been done to her too, like throwing some light to her side of the story. Aren't any of you even curious to see Max's point of view of her 5 lost years? She lost William and Chloe too. We don't know how she exactly dealt with her pain and everything, being forced away, ripped apart from her best friend. There are rumours about an even newer LIS game wich might be a sequel to the first game. Hope that will shed some more light to everything if it ever happens to be true.
