Yes he don't own the game, because he like to complain on games he don't own.
OP: It's a story choice, it's telling you that just like life no matter what you do you will die, so you can't change the ending.
The ending is the same, only the way of life change.
THAT is where choices do not matter.
The choices will alter things slightly here and there, but in the end things do have to become pretty linear. But it's a story driven game throughout and that's what makes the game good or bad.
And it is kind of disappointing. Although it was a nice (sometimes toooo slow / boring / cliché) game ride
Maybe the game could count how many reiwnds, changes you through the game. If less the storm maybe not destroy Arcadia Bay, maybe someone survive it.
