Problems with Sharing LIS DLCs through Family Sharing

I installed the free Life is Strange episode 1 two days ago. My friend and I only got to share our libraries after I finished episode 1, knowing she had bought the DLC complete episodes of LIS (ep 2-5) so that i can continue episode 2 without buying it.

In my account, LIS only shows up under my library and not my friend's. After searching it up online, I learnt that the games do not repeat itself if both shared accounts have the same game and that it'll only appear under my library. And that DLC will not be shared if i already own the game. So I thought I can solve this by uninstalling the free LIS and install it again with my friends account on my laptop. I thought it worked because from her account under the DLC, it was all installed. Then I went back to my account, wanted to play it with my account. But the game is still under my library and without the DLCs installed.

Then I tried removing the free LIS from my account by using Steam Support. I went back to my library and i thought i did it because for the first time the game was listed under my friend's library and not mine plus the DLCs were all there! So i clicked " Play" which brings me in-game. Just to make sure all the episodes are still there to play i clicked "Play episodes" from the LIS game menu, the episodes are gone! just before i got in game the DLCs are all installed right?! i got confused, i quitted the game to check my library again. The game went straight back into my library, not my friend's and without the DLC ._.
So i gave it another try to remove the game permanently from my library using Steam Support. For literally 1 sec, the game (again w/ the DLC) is under my friend's library. And i clicked play again and the game jumped back to my library again. It seems like whenever I click "play", the game jumps right back into my library. So I spent my whole day doing the same thing (cz i was that desperate to play ep2). In the end, the game actually stayed in my friend's library and that i was able to play episode 2. I played several hours, the game autosaved, I shut down my laptop.

The next day, i wanted to continue with the episode but only to find more disappointments. 1) the game jumped right back under my library and DLC all gone, 2) My game progress from the previous day was not saved and it says "new game" instead of "continue", meaning I'll have to play through the same story again. GG I'm fed up, I ain't gon spend a whole day removing it from my library through Steam Support repeatedly again.

Anybody facing the same issue? Is it a bug? Can Steam fix this for me? Or is there something i should do? Am i doing it the wrong way? Or Steam, please can you kindly help to remove the game PERMANENTLY (literally) from my account? Anybody, pls leave me some suggestions or opinions on how to fix this :3

I'm confused by this problem ._. maybe uhh copy the game files from you friend's steam library, and copy it to your laptop and then check the game, or maybe just borrow your friend's account to play it, because in-game episodes only show up if you actually bought the game, even if the files of all the episodes are there, if you didn't bought the game it'll still be locked

I don’t blame you for being confused. I’m confused too. That’s why nobody has ever experienced similar situation before. Thanks tho! Maybe I should just play it from my friends account and move on to LIS Before the Storm :D

almost the exact same thing is happening to me. I have Episode 1. My wife has 1-5. I'm authorized, the games/episodes are downloaded on my machine. But it doesn't show in her list as an option (and I can't play 2-5 on my account). Tres annoying
