Did anyone read the comic yet?

I was checking it out on amazon and thought of buying it, but it has zero reviews yet. Anyone got a first impression on it already?

Not yet because i am not sure wether the story is true successor of LiS1 or just a stupid fan fic. (I know it`s technically a fanfic but I want it to be realistic yet intersting story^^)

It's based on the ending where Chloe survives

While its a official license the comic creators clearly stated its "one of the many POSSIBLE futures" after that ending.
So its not canon for the game world and for example "Life is Strange 2".
Its a "what if" scenario.

And yeah i read it, was WAY too fanficy for my taste and introduced so much supernatural mumbo jumbo that never was in the game i thought it was pretty bad.
On the other hand, if you one of the fans who wants a big mega happy end for Rachel, Max & Chloe, the comic delivers at least that.

But i did not like it very much. But i dont like fanfiction in general.

I read the first 4 issues so far and i really wanted to like it, but i can't. It's basically fanfiction with official license for all the fans of the Max, Chloe, Rachel triangle. I don't think i will buy the next issues. It started not so bad, but when they brought Rachel into the story it was over for me^^

It looks awful and completely defeats the purpose of letting the player decide on their own ending. Will they give us a comic for the save Arcadia ending where the player chose to like Warren? Not likely.

I did and it is kinda is dumb , a multiverse ? kinda feels cheap and overused + this was 100 % done just so people can have rachel , max and chloe in one place alive lol , to me this isn't canon ;)

As someone who dropped $3.99 per issue and read all of them, I'll honestly felt the comics are not worth buying at full price. Add to the fact that you'd have to wait at least a month to read a measly 22 pages per issue only compounded my critical perception on the series. I feel as if I'd get a better bang out of my buck reading a free fanfic on AO3.org.

If you're a Life is Strange fan that has read at least one of the popular fanfics (Better Then, Ouroboros, Black Swan, All That Remains, One Way Trip, The Sense of Me, etc), the comic series will likely leave you disappointed as I was.

Since it was supposed to be only a one-shot 4 issues thing initially - that is now going into issues 9-12 - i'd say its a success that resounds in the fanbase pretty strongly...

I know this is such an old quote, but I agree. For me, I feel that the writer was hired to write a LIS comic without know what story she wants to tell. What I mean is that the initial 4 issue comic book adds nothing to Max and Chloe. Instead, it has this weird plot of her going to another parallel universe to stop her from glitching. However, she then wants to go back to her Chloe because she misses her while ignoring that she left Chloe to her "ideal" universe because her powers were acting up.

Considering it was billed as following the ending of save Chloe. That part particular Chloe is dumped very quickly and then Max ends up in a universe where Rachel is alive. It distinctly felt like glorified fanfiction.
