Why isn't there an option for romance or a relationship with Kate? Or is there? I like her much better than Chloe.

The devs did add the Kate Hospital scene where Max goes to visit her if you save her when she tried to jump off the dorm roof because they realized that the fans of the game were falling in love with Kate. This was during production and they were getting TONS of letters from fans saying they wanted MORE Kate so they did add that...

Edit: Oh and there is also this livestream video that Hannah Telle, the voice of Max Caulfield, and Dayeanne Hutton, the voice of Kate Marsh, did as their Tea Session that they always talked about in the game but never did do...in this video they have tea and chat with fans for over an hour, please enjoy!

I mean this is not a dating simulator. The characters have their own feelings and backstory is not this what is so great and what makes these characters so loveable and believable ?

There is a cool fanfic where Kate ends up with Victoria of all people...very sweet actually.

Its called Ouroboros, its very fluffy and tweaks the ending (in a very interesting and plausible way) so we have a happy ending for everyone.
