Saving Chloe from the train
Hello guys! So, I was playing the first game of LIS again and I'm at the second episode, at the part Chloe get herself stuck on the train rail. I couldn't remember how to save her at this part, so I found the crowbar and pushed that giant wheel to the train rail, saving Chloe in a different way that I had done at the first time I played. When I did that, it showed up the message that the action would have consequences, AND I'M VERY CONFUSED AND CURIOUS. If anyone here saved her like that, please, tell me what's the consequence!! I played that part again and did the other way because I'm afraid to lose any of the optional photos.

The truck driver in episode 3 will complain about the train went to wrong way or something if you ask him why not leave the town.

Oh ♥♥♥♥, been playing the game ever since 1st episode came out, and never thought that trucker was talking about me, breaking railways! xD

Correct me if I wrong, but truck driver didn't leave town in other case too. And it make sense. Max will send train in wrong direction in both solutions: to release Chloe's leg railroad switch is supposed to be switched to other way.

The train is suppose to straight, so Max need to use the pilers inside the room to cut the red wire inside the switch box, then she can save Chloe while the train can go straight later.

I ended up *breaking* the switch, witht he stated consequence that it could "never go to the lumber yard again". I assume if you manage to flip the switch, it gets corrected by the rail people later and life goes on as per.

If fixing the fuse saves the truckdriver's life, then I know what I'm aiming for next time.

Has anyone written a guide for "Most lives saved/Ideal ending"? This kind of information would be useful, there.

This is not mater what exactly Max spoil to release Chloe. Basically it kind of "hard to find where and easy to fix" problem. So, she break lever. This is even easy to fix than cuted wires.

I believe I saw him in my second, "perfect walktrough". I cut wires and he was still on the streets both: near TW dinner and during the storm.

Run up the path to the other side of the fence, then you should see a crowbar, take it. Then run over to the far side of the little shack/train building until you see the door, use the crowbar on the door and go inside. Open the drawers and take the pliers/wire cutters. Run out beside the drum that the other folks in this thread used to roll off the bank and bust the train switch, then jump down onto the track area. Run over to the the box at that train switch and open it and cut the RED wire.

You actually should be able to do all of that without ever rewinding, however if you are to slow you can rewind as needed...

Wait, do I understand that correctly? You say "run out beside the drum... and bust the train switch" - which means rolling down the drum? Or how else am I supposed to "bust the train switch"? Because "then jump down... and cut the wire".
So you can combine rolling off the bank *and* cutting the wire?

Never thought of that.

No all I was doing was trying to tell you where to jump from, go out beside that cable drum that is there and jump down off of the bank, THEN cut the red wire.

I have never had to do anything with any fuse, in fact I can't even remember seeing a fuse.

Sorry, that was a reference to the TV show M*A*S*H. There's a scene when they have to difuse a bomb, and are reading instructions from a manual.

Blake, using a megaphone:Pierce? Mclntyre? Can you hear me?

Pierce and Mcintyre cringe, as any vibrations (like shouting through a meghaphone) could set the bomb off.
Pierce: One more yell like that and you and I will have interchangeable parts.

McIntyre using a stethescope to lisen for the bomb's clockwork timer: Heartbeat's regular.

Blake: First, you need a wrench.

Hawkeye and Trapper pull a wrench from the toolbox.

Blake: Now place it gently on the nut just above the locking ring, and loosen.

Pierce does this, then backs away to show that he's done.

Blake: Now, rotate the locking ring counterclockwise.

After remembering which way is counterclockwise, Pierce does this.

Blake: Now, remove the tail assembly.

Confering slilently with McIntyre, Pierce slowly lifts the heavy tail assembly, reveailing two wires connecting to the mechanics further inside the bomb.

Blake: And carefully cut the wires leading to the clockwork fuse at the head.

McIntyre takes a pair of wire cutters and carefully snipes both wires.

Blake: But first, remove the fuse.

EVERYONE stares with utter incredulity at that last direction.

McIntyre checks the timer with the stethescope again and realizes that it has stopped. Having (maybe) less than two minutes to get away, he and Pierce scramble away and the bomb does in fact go off-- Shooting ten pounds of paper a hundred feet into the air. Each leaflet reads "Give yourselves up. You can't win. Signed, Douglas MacArthur."

The way you'd phrased your instructions reminded me of that scene, I couldn't help but make the joke. ^_^
