Controller doesnt work

I have tried many controllers in life is strange but doesnt work.none of them.these controllers play fine to other games on steam.i also use big picture mode.what can i do.i dont like to play this game with mouse and keyboard.what can i do?

Xbox controller worked fine for me. I don't use Big Picture mode though so maybe that is messing it up somehow?

i have tried big picture and without big picture.i have tried xbox controller 360 and steam controller.none of them worked

For life is Strange you can only have ONE controller type plugged in at a time, if you have more then one or even a wireless device that is for a wireless controller that you are not using you won't be able to use any controllers at all until it is the ONLY one plugged in...

Are you sure that you installed drivers for it? Maybe it's not needed for newer Windows, but olders - sure it needs that. Have Wireless Xbox 360 controller and works great. Sometimes game call me to press something from keyboard, but when I touch gamepad, it read it again properly.

Drivers for what?xbox controller?lets suppose i dont have the drivers for xbox controllers.why doesnt it play with my steam controller?why doesnt it play with 2-3 more controllers i have?why all these controllers work very well with all other games on steam?

I never liked using the controller, because the controller setup in game isn't properly defined. If it's asking me to reverse the x/y axis, it doesn't change the camera control. I stuck with the kb/m.

this isnt a game to play it with kb/m..i prefer to relax to my sofa and enjoy the story..i am not fighting anyone in this game to have a mouse

kb/m has nothing to do with fighting. I was talking about natural control. The camera controls are reversed, while confusing me with the walk controls. Try to reverse it, and it doesn't affect camera controls, just the walk. It's awkward.

(Also, lately the only fighting I do happens to be with a controller)
