Episode 2 : Stuck in the hallway before entering the pool

Hello. I have an issue and cannot seem to find a solution on internet for this. I cannot follow chloe and enter the swimming pool after she asks "boys or girls". I can see the things on the wall and look at them but I cannot open the door to follow chloe. I am stucked and I am wondering if it the game or me.

Isn't that episode 3?

Once you pick "boys or girls" Chloe makes a comment and then will walk through the door you picked, but then door should be automatically open.

Can you rewind time to get chloe back and ask her again? Otherwise think you'll have to go back to a check point and re-load because the door should automatically be open.

Go to 51:20 here. You can see the door will just remain open.

I have tried to rewind the time many times. I have also tried to reload the episode (starting just after the principal office) and it is never open :/ What am I supposed to do ? Start again from the beginning of the episode ?

Hmm I tried to find it mentioned somewhere else online, but with no luck either. I am assuming you tried using both the girl's and boy's doors, too?

Does the cut scene work properly after you pick "boys or girls"? But when the cut scene ends, the door just isn't open?

I'd say "verify integrity of the files" through Steam, and make sure all is well there. Then try it one more time from the last check point. If that's a no go I don't see another option but to start the whole episode over. It's about 50 minutes in, so it's a pain, but it could be worse.

If it STILL fails after that than I have no clue other than redownloading the whole thing. What a weird bug.

I did try both answers. I did reinstall the game and it did not change a thing.

However, I don't know how you "verify integrity of the files" on steam.

Okay. I just tried to redo episode 3 and I am still stuck at the same place.

idk if this will help, but did you try to talk to chloe?.. otherwise it is probably some kind of issue with how the engine runs on your computer

To verify the files of any Steam game you simply right click it in your game library then pick "Properties", then at the top of the box that pops up you select the tab "Local files" then select "Verify integrity of game cache" then it should begin to check all of the files and it will replace any that are missing or corrupted.

The game works fine up until that point? Very Strange indeed...I can't think of a reason it should be doing this....also this is not something that can likely be fixed by using rewind because it is not intended that the player would need to rewind at that point in the game, it is a very strange problem indeed and in all my years of answering game questions and helping folks to get LiS to run right on their PC I have never encountered this problem before...

Thank you for your help. My computer said that all the files were validated.

I would like to add that I have a mac and not a PC. Maybe it has something to do with it but then the game should not be sold for macs :/

I sent an email to the developers to get some answers. I gave them a support report and a system profile. I will let you not if they find something.

If you wanna imagine it : I am blocked in the hallway with no abilities to open any door (the main entrance of the building or the one toward the pool with written "lifeguard" on it). I'm trapped like a mouse in a cage. Very frustrating at this point of the game ! Plus, I spoiled myself by looking for answers on this issue !

Hm, Steam lets you broadcast to Twitch, where you can save the stream, but I understand you have enough to hassle with...

Atm, I see only these options:
- Refund
- Use Windows on Bootcamp/Fusion
- Upload your savefile. Let's see what we can do with it.

I just sent the savefile to the support team. I would like a refund if they still don't find the issue. But steam said that I played the game for too long...
