I was a bit sad about the lack of choices in episodes 4 and 5, too. The first three episodes are filled with important decisions that have consequences and effect the relationships of those around you, but 4&5 really don't have that at all. It makes it harder for me to replay this because once I get to episode 4 I'll feel like I have seen everything different.
Has to be the wheelchair reveal, and finding what happened the Rachel.
One of my pet peeves in books and movies and games is that far too often they end on happy notes. This isn't real life a lot of the time and it annoys the crap out of me. At least SOME TIMES bad things happen to good people...the end.
So, the reveal of the wheel chair and the reveal of what happened to Rachell, it truly caught me off guard. I expected a cliched happy moment.
The ending was sad too as it was bad one way or the other, but at least with that I saw it coming.
Also if I was new to Life is Strange I would definitely want to play Before the Storm before I played the original game so I could know Rachel Amber better, can you imagine that scene once you know who Rachel really is/was?
My tears started to roll down my cheeks when Max decided to save the paralysed Chloe and used the photo to travel back to the day William last alive. And I just can't stopped crying when Max knew how to save William but she just couldn't do anything except watching William found the car key then left the house. Really heart broken when Max teared her kitchen selfie with Chloe, leaving no return choice for herself.
When knowing its the car that William bought for Chloe led to the accident and thus Chloe paralysis, I was thinking if there's anyway that Max could have travel to that day to stop the gift, or to stop Chloe from driving out that day, just to avoid the accident without sacrificing William. I really wish if there's any way to save William.
well, many moments were pretty sad for me, but no one mentioned nathan's last message... man that got me, I felt so bad about myself listening and I started crying a bit, I even let warren beat him up, I got flashbacks with him begging to stop and he even warned you about jefferson. but ofc, I can't forgive him about his past, especially for killing rach and bullying kate. justice needs to be done, there is nothing you can do for him, he gets killed anyway or arrested so yeah.
