Going back in time

I messed up something at the end of ep 3.Seems like there is no way to reload game because chapter 4 has already started.

Is there a way for me to somehow replay last part of episode 3?Or is the only way for me to develop power that Max has :-)

2.How many times do you need to save Allysa to get the "good Allysa ending"?I saved her two times but some weird bug that threw me into conversation with fishermen when Allysa showed up on sidewalk(ep3) prevented me to understand what actually happened there.After i finished episode on the choices screen i realized that i could've helped her somehow(prly rewinding).Can i move on, or i need to save her every single time for some trigger later?

Which part did you mess up? More details please. Put a spoiler tag if you have to.

If i'm not mistaken, in order to get the "good Allysa ending" you have to save her everytime.

1) Just keep playing episode 4. What happened is part of hte plot, and everyone thinks the same thing when it starts.

2) You get the opportunity once in each episode, and differences occur in episode 4 and 5 if you manage to save her every time.

Thanks for replying.I understood that shocking start of ep4 is part of the plot.(my first post was a bit confusing after editing).
Basicaly i screwed only with Allysa and i can't figure out how to load some previous state of the game.Replaying ep 3 in new game slot will create a bunch of random choices for the first 2 episodes.

It means I'm stuck with the same game slot with no possibility of reloading some previous game state.Meaning stuck with "bad Allysa ending" unless i replay the whole game.Stupid fisherman.A moment i went out from the diner, for unknown reasons i was stuck in conversation with him, while "Allysa thing" was unfolding down the street.
I guess i should have known what is going on, since she only turns up when something weird happen to her.

Really weird that you can not load a previous game state, at least the whole episode

No, you can. Every episode is broken down to different scenes (chapters), so you can reload that scene and replay with or without rewriting your choices. It's in the list of the things you can do every time you click on them. You don't have to replay an entire episode form the beginning. But when you rewrite it, of course it may affect future scenes and the next episode.

The list goes:

"Play this chapter in collectible mode" - This does not rewrite your saves. It lets you see all choices and lets you still collect photos if you missed them.

"Restart game from this chapter" - Basically speaks for itself. Rewrites the chapter so you can start again, the save is in Slot 1"

"Restart game from this chapter using Slot 2"
"Restart game from this chapter using Slot 3" - same as above, but with saves in respective slots so you can save multiple sets of choices per slot.

This is in every such scene, not just the very first one you click on.

If you are playing on a PC you need to select your saved game in the menu, then press ESC and you will be directed to all the save points the game has and you can scroll through them and choose where you want to start replaying from.

How you do this on a console? I have no idea... sorry..

Are you sure about this, cause it does not work for me.When i press ESC button i go back to MENU for choosing which save game/slot i want to use.

I see what you're doing and you're confusing yourself.

Saves are done automatically. You don't force save anything. All the decisions you make get saved to a point for each scene. Once you complete that level, all the info is already stored.

Now, say you want to save it in a different slot. Well, you have to go to the main menu. Not the menu from while you're playing an episode. I mean the one you start the game at. You should have already chosen your save slot. When you're past the spash screen, you go to "Play episodes" > Open the episode you want, then that leads you to choose the "pictures" which represent the scenes at that point in the episode. Click that, and you open those choices. You really can't miss it.

Based on what has been told every time you pick a scene within a chapter, you erase the old save of the particular map. Each and every map in the game has its own save who is erased when replaying the map.

The game is linked with maps and each map has its own save slot. Now I see why you can't go back when you exit a map. If you go back you would had erased every decision made on that map.

You don't even need to do anything else than helping Alyssa and then jump forward from where you was before.You don't need to fetch the bottles, you can go straight to the last chapter without passing go right after you helped alyssa by the bus station and exit the map by completing the scenario.

Oh wait sorry you need to pick your saved game then choose Continue playing episodes, then press ESC to get to the save points menu.
