Essentially, if Bonnie and Chica are the only things active, you can just sit there.
Assuming Foxy/Freddy aren't active, the game is winnable by sitting there and doing nothing.
The sole reason you check is to see if Bonnie/Chica are at your door, so you can check for Freddy and Foxy.
No real reason otherwise
Doing nothing = death. It's hardwired after one of the patches.

As for Bonnie and Chica, just check door lights when you hear footsteps, no need to check the cameras.
You can also keep left door closed for the entire 1st night and only check the door lights at the right door, you should end the first night with about 10% of power by doing that.
I don't know if the steps above will work on 2nd night though.
